i was 8 when i started to play GTA san andreas and that was no problem look, don't care about your age to play games. don't let your age to tell you what did you will play! everyone can play games from any age. some peoples says that, "look at him he is 20 and he still play video games" for me i can't understand those guys. Yes! 20 and he play PC games so what?? (the age will not gonna tell you what did you will play or if you are allowed to play or not!) i know guys that are 55 years old and they still play GTA san andreas or any other games on PS2 PS3 and to all other platforms i am 15 and i still play GTA SA on PC! whenever age you are you can play any games you want mu cousin is 14 and he still play Pokemon games!...and? what does that mean? you can play whenever game at whenever age you are! don't care about it!! did i am right guys?? Look up New Zealand's laws. I read this myself just yesterday when looking to see if GTASA was banned in any country. It turns out that New Zealand's rating system has the FORCE OF LAW for the top 2 ratings. Their ratings are G (similar to ESRB's E rating), PG (similar to ESRB's E10+ rating), M (similar to ESRB's T rating), R16 (similar ESRB's M rating), and R18 (similar to ESRB's AO rating). These top 2 ratings of R16 and R18 are enforced by law.
If a parent knowingly allows their child when 15 or under to play a game with a rating of R16 or higher, or allows their child when 17 or under to play a game rated R18 or higher, that parent is guilty of committing a crime. If a store's cashier allows a person to purchase a game when that cashier is aware that the person is a parent and that this parent intends to allow their underage child to play that game, then the store's cashier is guilty also guilty of the crime. Said crime is punishable by up to 90 days in jail and/or up to a $10,000 (USD) fine.
In the US, only AO rated games are illegal for minors to play, and even then only if the rating was because of sexual content (it is illegal for minors to view pornographic material in the US).
New Zealand's law is MUCH STRICTER!
