Trying my luck at the track in my slightly modded 2013 GT500. Turns out 700+bhp is easier to put down than I thought.

Or a late 80's/early 90's national geographic ad.

Also, you got rid of the 370 already?

In May yes. Maybe I'll own the next generation Z but for now it's a stale niche category. Still a looker though.

Been a while since I posted in here, but I got a new car in May.

2004 Holden Commodore SS. Last Commodore model to be fitted with a LS1.

Man it's good having V8 power bar the ridiculous prices for fuel over here. ph34r.gif

Nice SS Miami icon14.gif . Would that be a VY?

Not that there's anything wrong with an '86 Commodore. Would thatve been a VK. We used to have blue one but trashed it in '04 for a brand new Impreza RS. Still got it now.

Looks like a VZ judging by the headlight having no ball plus looks exactly like my sisters VZ SV6 besides the SS signs and rims!

Lookin' fresh MVC and TLC.

Treverton looks fun, I'd like to take the Silverado there for some soft-roading.
Perhaps I'll PM you for some details.

MVC: Do you think you'll pick up a VE in a few years? They're pretty fine cars and they've got good grunt.

Frankly, I think the VZ SV8 was a better car than the SS. It had the same engine in the same car for about 8 grand less, Holden kinda screwed up there! That's why they discontinued it for the VE, which is a shame. Nowadays they're probably around the same sort of value.

It was a blast dude, so glad we didn't break anything though. Lots of stuff to go wrong in some places.

I was looking at buying a VE Calais, but for my price range I could only get a 2006 model and I've heard the first VEs had a lot of teething problems being a new platform.

Plus I think VZs have a nicer look to them IMO.

Looks great. Sucks about the auto though. I know LS1's with a 6 speed usually get some amazing mpg figures for V8's.

My grandpa has a beautiful 2010 VE Calais. It's black with dark black tinted windows. Looks like a mafia car.

I've been doing some highway driving and have got an average of 10.1L/100km which I think is pretty good for a 5.7L V8.

lzw3. I agree mate the VEs do look nice. I just prefer VZs. smile.gif
