| QUOTE (leik oh em jeez! @ Thursday, May 17 2012, 17:02) | Touched up the Escalade seats with some SEM. Other than wiring up the heat for them, they should be done for now.

I love your interior! I know it's trivial, but the only thing that would bug me is the Cadillac emblem on the headrests, but again that's just something that would bug me. Did the seats just drop right in or did you have to fab up some mounting brackets? And as for mine, I washed mine, put NuFinish car polish on it, cleaned the wheels and the white letters on the tires. I didn't feel like cleaning the interior, it's pretty clean right now anyway.

Keep your foot out of it. I can squeeze that kind of mileage out of a 4x4 Suburban.

You keep buying tiny vehicles, what do you expect? lol
Looks decent though. You got a good deal. Is there any way you could recess those lights into the grill or bumper? |
The E28 is one of the roomiest vehicles I've been in. I'm 6'5" and 280ish. It's a great car for someone my size to stretch out in. I can even sleep in it and have several times. The ranger is opposite. It's like cramming yourself into a box. I can't use turn signals. On the bimmer gas mileage, M30's are thirsty pigs. As you can see from the ratings here, even the more efficient motronic'd B35 is pretty thirsty. I think a B34 E28 was officially rated a 13 mpg city. Pretty bad. Keeping my foot out of it, I do manage 16-18.5 mpg. I've gotten down to 9 really getting on it before. Took it on its first drive. It's not BMW fast by any means but it's not too bad. I suspect the 5 speed keeps it from totally sucking. No way I would ever drive something like this with an automatic. the high profile 14" tires sure do feel rolly polly. I'm used to the stability of a sidewall that's somewhat low pro and a tire with a wider contact patch (ie the 225/50ZR16's on the E28 or the 205/50ZR17's on mom's 3).
