I have to say, that as nice as all these screenshots are, they still don't do the game justice when compared to actually playing it.

The world just flows so nicely now on the PC. Some of the things that I saw in the PS2 version and wouldn't think twice about, are now almost breathtaking in the PC version, especially with the awesome draw distance.

God I can't wait to get home and play some more. I didn't think it would be this cool to play again after I beat the game on the PS2 last fall. It's like I'm playing for the first time all over again!

To set up that comment, let me say this:

I've been playing SA on teh PS2 for the last two days to be able to compare the two.

There's no comparison.

Even on a 65" widescreen, I was straining to find my way on the radar to blips. No problem with that anymore.

When it got "dark", all I could see was the clothes of some characters. It was like having detached retinas. No problem with that either, anymore.

Horrible jaggies? No, sir.

I f*cking love the PS2 version. It's great for parties, and has provided me countless entertainment over the past 8 months. But SA PC is like having your cake while f*cking a supermodel. It's just better.

when i first started playing, it wouldnt allow me to adjust it, so i set the hardware to force it to 2AA. i guess that didnt do it. it allows me to though, so the future screens should look better.

i have noticed a few other new things in the pc vs ps2.

1. biker gangs. i dont think i ever saw one in the ps2 version. but in the pc version, i see them all over. its a big group of bikes all with biker looking guys on them
2. the train. you can ride it now rather than having to drive it, by getting into the passenger car rather than the engine.
3. road rage: if you hit a car, sometimes, it will chase you down and hit you back. i never noticed this in the ps2 version

i love the draw distance

i broke into the army base, all the good stuff was gone, and i didnt want to leave feeling empty handed, so i took grabed a shot of a SAM turrent(before departing in a humvee)

@Sip - Great Screenies, better than the first ones you posted, keep em coming, how about posting early morning, late evening and night time screenshots, preferably with a few pedestrians around and few cars.

@Konoko - Great screenshot, it looks yummy, especially with AA cranked up. How about a few more of those.

actually, it looks like that because of bad gif conversion. i was in a hurry, and used ms paint to convert it from a bmp to a gif.

@Sip - Hey thanks a lot!, It will be atleast 2 weeks before I can get my hands on the game , so the only way to enjoy is by looking at all the great screenshots from the game.
