Hey i wanted to ask about the Cedar Ridge Observatory. It's circled and numbered as 11 on the map (for those that have the map) and is located in shoreside vale behind the cartel mansion and other houses there. I wanted to ask the importants and use of this building and if its possible to get into it. I peaked my interest when looking on the map and as no missions took place there i wondered what use was it. I had never been to it previously but last game i trecked all over the mountain range to find it. I did see it, it is a dome shaped building white in colour. But it seems to be perched up on a mountain bit that i cannot climb so i wanted to ask if anyone else has gotten into it and if so how. And if not what is the importants of this building? as like i said no mission or anything else has to do with the observatory at all.
Thats an easy way to get to carson city, if its on the pc. wish you could get one(Hellicopter) on the PS2 version. that would make things a lot less difficult.
In the two games, the observatory is purely decorative and as such is normally inaccessible to the player, though it may be possible to get there via cheats. However, if the player manages to reach there, the ground is not solid so the player cannot land on or near it. The observatory is featured on Rockstar's site for GTA III.

What? Carson City GTA3 developers did not create Carson City. You only hear about it in the one of the radio stations. The city behind the observatory is the Ghost Town.
