I'm going to show you how to get the write San Andreas, like on the box-art.
This tutorial will show how to get two-strokes onto your fonts, as in Photoshop there is only one stroke option.
I have written this guide for absolute newb's in Photoshop that don't know there way around, I'm sure you GFX Veterans will be able to skip a few steps.

Before we start you might want to get the "Diploma" font from here

Here is an example of what we are going to create

Hope you Enjoy my first tutorial.

1.Open Photoshop, and get blank canvas (400x100 pixels).

2.Write San Andreas, in the Diploma font, 72pt. and smooth anti-aliasing, and in black.

3.Now stroke the font, in the layers window click "Blending Options" a window similat to the one below should pop up, doesn't matter if it isn't the exact same window just click the words "Stroke" at the bottom left of the window (make sure the box next to stroke has a tick).
Now you should be in the exact same screen.

Copy those properties, for the best size, you can play/experiment with them if you want.

4.Now to do the second stroke, keeping the blending window open go to "Outer Glow", (third line from the top in the styles box on the left)

Copy these properties, again if you want you can play around with them, (experimenting is the best way to learn).
To get the white colour, double click on the colour box and when the screen opens slide the circular thing right into the top left corner.

5.Click OK, and save your handi-work.

Told you it was a mini-tutorial, tounge.gif
Later on once I figure out how to arc, the font without distorting it.
If you know how to arc the font without distorting it please tell me, and I will edit the post, with credit to you.

erm... the best way to arc the text without distorting it is to use the "Create Warped Text" button, seeing as how that's what it's designed to do... confused.gif

Cool tutorial. But isn't "Diploma" the same thing as "Old English"?

But the way used in my tutorial you can edit it still, rasterizing means you can't edit the text layer.
meh, do what you want, hopefully some people find it useful.
