One thing I know about the way this game works is that since you can play as another character, it is possible to play as them in the normal game mode and have it save it. You need to have it read the trigger to make the other character playable at start though. So in theory, it is entirely possible to make a code give the desired effect.

hi, i'm looking for some help. i've been converting the codes/assigning jokers etc i want for sa as i couldn't find the ones i wanted in the armax pal format. most of the codes i have done so far work however others don't even though the armax accepts them as correct for that game. one example is the walk/swim/drive/fly through anything code. i converted from

You might be able to pick up some conversion strategies by reading through the Cheat Code Creation topic.

It would help if you provided more complete information. The "converted from" code was for what format/version - where did you find the code? It is difficult to compare your AR-Max "converted to" code with the original RAW code. You are converting to PAL, but for version 1 or version 2 (everything since the original).

thanks for the advice orionsr. i'll check out that topic. sorry it took me so long to respond, my laptop completely froze on me right after i made that post! it took me until now to sort it out. i'm really new to the converting codes thing. i haven't owned a cheat device since the game genie which i think was for my snes or something... anyway, i got the code from a post someone made on an igrandtheftauto forum. he says the code is for ar2v2/gs2v2 and credits hackfreak of the tpcc. by what version do you mean what version of sa? if so i'm not 100% but i think its v1. i'll have a look. from what you've said i take it those devices have their own format and my "converted from" code is the raw code? i know those devices can take raw code so i had maxconvert set to convert from raw to armax pal. was that right or should i have made it ar2v2/gs2v2 to armax? another example, if this helps at all, was when i converted the control gravity code. i had maxconvert set the same way and the code didn't work. when i compared it to a working sample, some of the code was different, but a lot was the same. i could see there was some type of pattern to the code as some lines were repeated and some of those repeated lines were different to the working version. when i changed the parts that were different it worked fine. sorry if this sounds like complete nonsense to you. i'm finding it difficult to explain because, as i said, i'm just learning.

edit: i opened up sa/system in notepad and it said ver = 1.03 sles_525.41;1 and that it was PAL format

It looks like you need PAL v1 codes, so add 0x0100 to every memory address.

"Convert" the other code and then use maxconvert or omniconvert to "encrypt" the RAW code into the AR-Max format.

There are plenty of examples of NTSCv1, PALv1, and NTSCv2 codes in the Cheat Code Creation topic to use as examples. If it turns out that you need PALv2 codes then try adding 0x0100 to the NTSCv2 codes. Somewhere I got the impression that this should work, but I can't remember where I got the confirmation.

Water codes for the ntsc v2. special edition,greatest hits,trilogy. Yeah, you heard me. I tested most of the v2 codes, they work. The ones I did not test is listed under untested. I did not convert all of the water codes so if there's a code not listed I posted the v2 raw code so you can convert it yourself. Replace the 4 ???? (question marks) with water digits. All of the codes are the same except for the first 2 lines, so if you are saving many codes put in the first 2 lines then use line MVR9-DG6N-KNMW6 and the lines under it. Note: for water levels over 30ft, the game will be dark because you are deep under water so.

1. Use the instant skydive cheat to launch above the water, then do the vortex cheat, or use the boat spawn codes.

2. Or do the hydra cheat get in the plane then do the skydive cheat

3. Or get in a car or do one of the car spawn button cheats, then skydive, then do the cars float on water cheat before you hit the water.

well, I wanted the water codes to use on my v2 CDs. I like to get chased by the cop over water and use the cars drive over code. So these codes are perfect to spice up over water chases. As with any code made not everybody will like or want it but, someone will have use for it. No need to reply to this. I'm not going to go back and forth in this topic
