Okay, here's how it happened for me. In an attempt to get my pilot's license early, I stole a plane in Los Santos and started flying towards the ocean. We all know how long this takes, so I put a book on the control pad to keep flying (it's a straight way so it worked) and went off to do something else. Over 3 hours went by before I remembered. When I looked at the map again, not only was the whole hing activated (hadn't gotten to San Fierro or Las Ventuars yet), the whole world was now Gang Colored. Even the badlands, desert, EVERY PLACE! Weirder still, most gang wars could be started and won. I presently have over 100 territories with both the Ballas and Vargos having about 16 each themselves.

Here's the thing. Some of the areas I can start a gang war, after waiting FOREVER for gang members to show up, but it won't give the territory to me. The other is, in places like the Badlands and the Desert, where there are NO PEOPLE at all, how do you start a gang war? Also, WHO respresents the areas as the purple and yellow of the Ballas and Vargos AREN'T the only colors represented?

Ok, you can use cheats to make all peds gang members, or recruit enemy gang members take them to the area and kill them. If you want to play it straight, you'll need to get a car of gang members to follow you to the isolated turf. Having OGFs with you may attract enemy gangs.

Any colors like red or gray or brown still require you to kill Vagos or Ballas in that turf to start a war.

i did this and all badlands are green and all san fierro are violet but their arent any ballas in ballas teritorry in san fierro

Fly or boat to a corner of the map for at least 30 minutes real life, then die or go back. This may only work when you can start gang wars, so not between green sabre and home in the hills.

i can confirm that you can do this at any point in the game - i did this when gang territories werent available and had ballas' following me aorund everywhere the rest of the game - when gang territories came back i had a map full of them, none in LV tho

Um I was trying this glitch and I flew about 20 minutes and grove street and vargos only went up 1 and didn't even show up on the map.

What game version do you have?

It normally works for the PS2 version, for the XBOX & PC version, you'll need a mod, etc.

My friend told me that after this glitch is activated, you don't see hookers on the street anymore, is it true?

I got almost the same thing ozzy did, except that the map is taken up in like big chunks and there are no red territories :\

Edit : I checked the stats, I have 66 (the ones I had before) and Vagos have 15 and ballas have 10

Edit #2: : I accidentally saved over it, so I did it again and now I have 72 territories and Ballas have 14 , Vagos 14, and there is that mysterious gray territory

you'd have thought that if they took out a red gang because it was the blood's colour then they'd also have taken out the purple for the ballaz-isnt that the colour of the crips?

Thats what happened to me to except i was just coming out of getting all golds on my boating liscence (Quite satisfied) When some a-hole started popping off at me so i shot him and his gang (Orange i think ?) and then "You have provoked a gang war" Came up on my screen so i killed them all (Easily) and then that part of the desert was green with my gang members running about

I might have had the all gangs cheat on but i dont think so

Trick to get those country/desert territories:


Put in the recriut anyone cheat, and recriut 3 ballas/vagos and take them to the territory.

Get out of the car, unrecriut them and shoot them all.
Now, a gang war should start, unless area is other gang's turf, gang you can't do anything about, like the ones in San Fierro.


Nothing will happen, the map will just flash until you get close to a road, because gang members can't appear in the middle of the woods.


Kill them, and that's it.

i just did they glitsh and have vagos and ballas territories in San Fierro and vagos members are there but when i kill them no war is activated????????????

Did you kill 3 in a yellow turf? Try luring them closer to the certain of the territory before killing them.

well i re-did glitch and now have way more territories and was able to start a war in ballas territories but now i cant find any vagos gang members, vietnamese gang memebers and the other san fierro gang appear in the yellow areas, any tips for finding vagos members???

Refer to what RvdVit says, use cheat codes to change peds to gang members, recruit them and take them to your turf and unrecruit and kill.

hey the big BIG BIG SECREAT i Know on GTA sanandreas about the extra territories just say once u get 210 of ur territories u get to customise ur gangs clothing, what cars they drive, and how its done up the way u style it, cj gets a gang leaders shirt whats says leads the streets, u get new crack dealers, in san ferio and lv, and the best part CJ can then deal drugs him self its f*ckin wicked
