Alright, I know some people have been asking questions about Gang Territories. Firstly, this guide is for
after you have already gotten through LV and are BACK in the gang mentality I just got done getting 100% of the territories taken and while doing it I found some tricks and tips that might help. I am also adding in anything I picked up off the forums that proved to be helpful.
Okay, what you need to get started, firstly, Money! Wars cost money, and gang wars are no different. How you get your money, I don’t care, I personally went to the Four Dragons Casino and got up to whale and saved and bet and bet and saved and reloaded if I lost too much until I had enough money. You should have enough so that you can buy a couple thousands of dollars worth of guns and if you die in battle you don’t have to reload, because saving after every territory gets frustrating and takes a lot of time. But after that:
STOCK UP! The military doesn’t buy enough amo to get them through this next battle, they buy enough for the war, and then restock as needed. This should be no different. The weapon of course is your choice, but I would like to advise you to use the Deagle, one shot and move on, any other one and youll either have to shoot them a couple of times, which takes time which really f*cks you up with the Vatos, or youll spend all your time reloading, and stock the f*ck up! They go quickly. I bought around 300 bullets each time, I only ran out a few times, but aside from armor this is really all you need to pay for, because after the first wave you can just take all of their weapons.
Life, money and Armor:
These will spawn in the middle of the street that is under attack, know them, love them, they are your life support, get them in between waves, or if there are only a few gang members left and they are not around at the moment. When it comes to money, taking the territory comes first, but if you have the chance, get some of them dollar bills. The Vatos have the GANG of f*ckin cash, THEY should be called the ballas! The ballas kinda got wuss cash, but anyway, its all spendable.
Gang Areas:
If the color is DARK, then be careful, they will be packing and rolling pretty deep.
If the color is MEDIUM, then it should be a pretty easy takeover.
If the color is LIGHT, your looking at about one wave of members with baseball bats and a 9mm (maybe)
The Ballsacs (purple):
These guys can be pretty difficult in the beginning, I would recommend to do these with the Deagle first to get yourself up to hitman with it. These guys will run up to 10-15 deep on the last wave, and they have pretty basic weapons, depending on the color of the area youre trying to take over. Most of these battlegrounds you will be able to find a roof or something similar, this is the best way to take these guys out.
The Vatos (yellow):
When Rockstar said that the battles would be intense, they were speaking of these motherf*ckers! DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THESE GUYS! They roll DEEP, and HARD! They have the big guns, SMG’s and the sort, and I don’t think I saw any LIGHT colored areas for these guys. On the last wave there are typically 15-20 of them coming after you. So find somewhere to hide, ledges are good to use, tops of houses aren’t that great for these guys because they have the big guns and if one of them has a good shot at you, your pretty much f*cked. Try to hide behind corners that don’t have another way to them.
When they leave the area:
Yeah, it can be pretty f*cking annoying when they run off. But Ive come to understand that they ARE NOT running away, instead it’s the AI kicking in and they are trying to go around the back of you and catch you by surprise, it may look stupid to you, especially when they get stuck behind a wall LoL, but for the most part they will find there way back to you, and if not, let them get as close as they can to you and then run (or get a car) and get them, then HAUL ASS back to the area. If you’ve done an area and lost, youll notice which group of them runs around to get a better angle, if at all possible single them out before anybody else that way they don’t have the chance to run away at all.
Police:
GRR! In the beginning my biggest complaint was starting a gang war without getting stars and having the cops on your ass. But Ive found one big thing helps, kill them. That’s it, once you are in the middle of a gang war, kill any cops that are shooting at you, then they wont come anymore, and by the end the stars will be gone. But make sure you start a gang war, or else youll just have a bunch of cops on your ass.
Starting a war:
This is pretty easy, kill any three members of the gang in their territory, if you kill them while they are out of the colored grid it will not count. Make sure you find a group of at least three, if you see two do not, DO NOT kill them, because you will just get the cops on you and the other gang members will run away.
“Our hood is under attack!”
This is one of the worst things to hear when your out looking for some gang to splatter, this means wasted bullets, armor, time, all of that. But heres the simplest way of taking care of the invaders. Save. So get as much property as you can, and any time your under attack, Save, that’s it.
“I have all the territory, and it says I have (not 100)%, what do I do?”
Firstly, it IS possible to have partial control over a territory, it only happened in two for me, but it will show up as a mixture between the two colors and will share both members of both gangs, which will generally start fighting after a while. Make sure you own them ALL. Secondly, there are two territories in San Fierro, go over there on the map, one you can see clearly, the other one is RIGHT below it, that is SO light theres only ONE wave, and they literally only have bats.
Spawning problems:
The only problem Ive come across here is that sometimes they will spawn in the water while fighting at the beach, and it will be next to impossible to get them, heres how to get around that. When they spawn, it will be around you, so once you start the war, GET AS FAR AWAY FROM THE WATER AS POSSIBLE.
Extra tip I didn’t use:
Get to 100% with that one gf that
is a nurse and the prize is that when you visit the hospital they don’t take your guns that way you don’t have to worry about losing that sh*t.
And the last, and possibly one of the most important tips:
Wear NUETRAL colors, it may be cool to go in in head to toe Green sporting the OG GSF style, but youll be spotted right away and shot at by anybody, then you have to kill them, and then you have cops on you. Wear neutral and nobody will shoot you until you’ve shot at them, which gives you plenty of time to look around for a group of 3 or more people to start it with.
REWARD:
None that I can see, if you have done this, or do it at anytime, please let me know if you find anything because I literally JUST finished and havnt been able to search anywhere for it.
Alright, I hope somebody needed this, if you have any specific questions, go ahead and post em, Ill do my best to answer them. And please, if you have any tips that have helped you then by all means post them.
100% territory controlled=57 territories (if different in your game, please post with specifics, thanks)
And we now PROUDLY present the territies needed in picture. Madd propps go to
Rmc[AZ] for the pictures.
Here is the major body of territories for you to occupy, including your own hood.

And here are the ones by Madd Doggs mansion (south obviously) these are the ones that some of them are just little slivers, so if somebody says the territory is small, these are what they are talking about.

Firstly, here is the pic of the territories in SF I was speaking of.

In my game again there was a territory just to the south of this place.
This is the area of which I have heard about, but was not in my game. Vagos territory near the boat school.

Please also note that there are also some territories to the east of the major bodies on the southeast beach (near the beat the cock race)
