| QUOTE (Laggard @ Oct 31 2004, 19:00) | | One question I've searched for and have gotten differing answers is whether or not the Zero missions are part of the main story line that needs to be completed before Las Venturas opens. |
No, LV opens without it. In fact, in a later story mission in LV, Zero says, "It's just like fighting Berkely, only bigger", even though at that point I hadn't finished Supply Lines; this made very little sense, since the mission was about picking stuff up in a heli, like in the mission AFTER Supply Lines. I think the only reason you MUST finish Zero's missions is to get that frickin' Z off your radar.

| QUOTE (Demarest @ Oct 31 2004, 17:44) | Oh, you guys are doing my head in!
I just got done trying this mission 10 times. On my last attempt, I flew perfectly, did all my killing in one pass and was TWO FEET away from the red blip when I ran out of fuel. Being that this would mean the mission was unpassable, I knew I was missing something. So what did I do? Came to SA Gameply and SEARCHED for Supply Lines. Found it right off...
@Untouchable: When I saw that somebody went and wrote a guide for a mission I felt was quite frustrating (I kept thinking "Oh God, this is going to be the bane of Save N Play SA"), I was wondering if maybe it was time to pull out a star for you. Then I see EIGHT MINUTE bumps??! Spamming and arguing with other members? The answer is no; you don't bump. No, you're not allowed to decide that YOUR thread is so much better than all the others that you can bump it, etc. If it's important or helpful, people will reply. That replying will keep it at the top. Not that it needs to stay at the top. You've already admitted it's a hard mission, so people will be coming here searching for it. I did. And they'll reply it as they find it, and not necessarily 2 minutes after you post just because you'd like to see some reaction. Now I have to go through and prune this topic up, and I'd rather be off to test the things I've learned here Rest assured that if this topic wasn't helpful, your shenanigans would warrant a lock easily. And have you even considered asking tehhunter to add it to his first post? Then not only would it be readily available regardless, it would also curb your worries of it being on a later page in an FAQ thread.
| QUOTE (IntelliCow @ Oct 31 2004, 07:14) | | No, sitting on the ground uses no fuel. It's mostly useful if the two far targets are way far away, and their route will take them back to you so you don't have to track them down. |
This was by far the most useful post in this topic (to me). I didn't realize you only used fuel when moving and I didn't think to camp and wait. Combined with Untouchables reco to fire point blank, I actually feel confident I can do something about this now
@Osirus: Appreciate the concern, but you should just report it and move on. Otherwise you risk (as you can see) provoking him into reacting, defending himself, etc.
Pruned. |
Well, i can't say anything other than sorry. I thought i was doing the right thing by keeping the topic in the upper part of the forum but i guess it was wrong. I could of got a star for this? Cool. Also, i wasn't arguing with anyone... I was simply having a discussion with them. I doubt that you see ANY profanity in those posts. I'm not that kind of guy. You might of saw it as arguing but that's because you don't know me and you don't know how i wanted to lay down my posts in the way i did. So don't say i'm arguing with other members and i think my thread is so much better than everyone elses. It's the most informative and has helped most people who've read it into completing the mission. Glad to see its working for most people, though!

| QUOTE | 1) Pop cyclist to the left first from the air.. don't land. taking off eats up fuel.
2) circle the block clockwise.. take out van.. once again from the air.
3) down and take out the pain in the ass van (ie the one that shoots at you) I set it down behind that one... takes alot of shots and it helps to be right there.
4)Get some elevation quick and head for the north ones.. Hoping they get semi- close together. Watch em.. if they are going opposite directions and aren't close.. kill the mission and start over.
5) Land to kill the motorcycle
6) take out the last van.. from air if possible if not.. park and shoot.
7) take off get elevation to fly in a dead straight line. |
Sort of what I did, but different order. 1) Dive bomb the first van heading the same direction that you start out. You have to do a little bank to the left, then down on top of him. When you pull out you have nice speed and are heading toward the loc of 2nd van. 2) Like above, I landed for the next van and got close behind. 3) Take out BMX courier from the air. May need slight adjustment to hit courier when he steps off bike. Fly NE to other 2. Good flying skills help here. Fly over buildings and not around them. 4) As above, land to kill motorcycle. They will take off fast when hit, stay close and keep firing. 5) I did land for the last van too. Hopefully, you aren't too far away. Head back over buildings. Land on Zero's roof. I don't think you have to actually hit the red signal, just get too roof. The trick for me was getting the first 3 done quickly. Not landing for each did the trick. As well as general flying practice. I wish I had known about sitting and waiting for them to come, although I'm not typically that patient.

Maybe someone could pin it? It is pretty important because it guides you through one of the hardest missions in the game with ease. | Get tehhunter to stick it in his original post for the FAQ, Lifes a beach mission is in there, people had troubles with that, between the two of you, you could even create a little section for advice on hard missions, Lifes a beach, Supply lines, Just business etc etc. Get me? Use ya nozzle boy
