This is a hella nice guide, Untouchable; I only want to add that parking and lying in wait (as Chuck430 mentioned) is a viable solution once you've gotten the 3 nearest targets. The other two will vary in distance from Zero's building quite a lot (I've run out of fuel because the van went far to the NE, and I tried to chase it down), but if you park in the middle-upper-left of the downtown area, both the bike and the van will come to very near your position.
If you track where they go, you can be sitting there waiting with your gun trained on them when they stop at the intersection. The van was right in front of me, and was like a deer in the headlights when I opened up.

dozingoff.gif They stop at all the goddamn stop lights, though, so grab a coke/beer/whatever and periodically check their positions on your close-up map.

Side note: I don't think either of the northeast targets actually noticed me before I started shooting, no matter where I flew. Are you sure about that, Untouchable?

Yeah but landing still wastes fuel. You're better off flying to them than waiting for them to come to you.

I'm sure if you fly right infront of the 2 vans or Sanchez they'll start shooting at you and driving away. I know it's right because it happened to me.

No, sitting on the ground uses no fuel. It's mostly useful if the two far targets are way far away, and their route will take them back to you so you don't have to track them down.

No, it does waste fuel... I know it does because even when i was waiting behind the vans, it went down. I doubt it's a glitch.

Um, cross my heart and hope to die? colgate.gif If you're driving along the ground, yeah, you lose fuel, but if you park it, and just sit there without pressing any buttons, your fuel bar stays rock solid. I just sat there shooting any pedestrian who walked in front of me while waiting for the van to come closer. You don't get attacked by pedestrians or cops in the bandit, which is a saving grace, I suppose.

Actually, i do. Don't you see how useful the topic is to people? How is it useful if it's 3/4 down the page or on the second one? People won't search for it often, they'll just make new topics if they don't see one talking about it straight away. That's why it needs to stay up top. Thanks anyway.

Bump.  tounge2.gif

Ok. I understand what you mean now. But i have two reasons why i thought otherwise. 1) When i was driving around on the floor and stopped, the fuel went down. I thought, "WTF, it goes down when you're stationary!!?" but it might be because just after i stopped, the fuel went down a bit and 2) When you fly in the air and let go of 'X' so you're not picking up any speed (should be gliding) you still lose fuel. It's stupid.

So i guess you're right inlove.gif

i finally beat it!!!!!! i was lucky enough to have found both the last 2 targets in the same spot!!!!!! i stayed high enough to avoid having to move around buildings and wasting the fuel, shot them from high up, you got unlimited bullets so just start shooting once you see that your plane is close enough on the map to the target, none of them "took off" when i attacked.

Then be smart about it, and ask Tehhunter to add it to the FAQ topic, that would be a little better instead of breaking rules, no?

Not many of the members are going to want to sift through 5 pages of FAQ to find the guide. They will much rather post and make a topic about it. This way, it's easier to see. I already got a PM from a moderator telling me not to bump it, but it's either that or more topics. And the reason i bump it all the time is because no one else does. I would appreciate it if people who benefited from this guide, bump it some time. Save me getting in trouble, members making loads of topics on the same thing and generally help out people who are stuck.

Although the topic is useful, it doesn't need a pin. Just needs to be bumped by people. I've got a PM from a moderator saying i should ask tehhunter to put it in the FAQ topic in this forum but i doubt it'll get noticed much. Don't get me wrong, if a moderator wants to pin this topic, by all means do. It'll stop me getting into trouble when i'm just trying to help people by bumping the topic to the top of the pile dozingoff.gif

Oh, you guys are doing my head in!

I just got done trying this mission 10 times. On my last attempt, I flew perfectly, did all my killing in one pass and was TWO FEET away from the red blip when I ran out of fuel. Being that this would mean the mission was unpassable, I knew I was missing something. So what did I do? Came to SA Gameply and SEARCHED for Supply Lines. Found it right off...

@Untouchable: When I saw that somebody went and wrote a guide for a mission I felt was quite frustrating (I kept thinking "Oh God, this is going to be the bane of Save N Play SA"), I was wondering if maybe it was time to pull out a star for you. Then I see EIGHT MINUTE bumps??! notify.gif Spamming and arguing with other members? The answer is no; you don't bump. No, you're not allowed to decide that YOUR thread is so much better than all the others that you can bump it, etc. If it's important or helpful, people will reply. That replying will keep it at the top. Not that it needs to stay at the top. You've already admitted it's a hard mission, so people will be coming here searching for it. I did. And they'll reply it as they find it, and not necessarily 2 minutes after you post just because you'd like to see some reaction. Now I have to go through and prune this topic up, and I'd rather be off to test the things I've learned here confused.gif Rest assured that if this topic wasn't helpful, your shenanigans would warrant a lock easily. And have you even considered asking tehhunter to add it to his first post? Then not only would it be readily available regardless, it would also curb your worries of it being on a later page in an FAQ thread.

This was by far the most useful post in this topic (to me). I didn't realize you only used fuel when moving and I didn't think to camp and wait. Combined with Untouchables reco to fire point blank, I actually feel confident I can do something about this now smile.gif

@Osirus: Appreciate the concern, but you should just report it and move on. Otherwise you risk (as you can see) provoking him into reacting, defending himself, etc.

Pruned.
