Now that my server move has finished and my site is up and running again with it's new design, I have had time to release my in-progress handling overhaul for Myriad Islands.

(Download Myriad Handling Overhaul v0.01 | Web Page)

The page on my my site for this shows exactly which vehicles have been set up. Currently it stands at 25 which are done either completely or to the maximum standard possible for the state of the car when I got it. I am re-writing my GTA3 Handling Overhaul for use with Curveshire and am really busy generally, so I'm putting this project on a back burner for a bit. I figured I would release what I had so far because there's actually quite a lot done. smile.gif

(EDIT) I don't have Myriad installed on my computer and I set all these cars up in the normal Vice City. Therefore I don't have any screenshots of them in Myriad...so if people could post some that would be appreciated.

I haven't tried it out yet, but we'd probably be looking for a nice mix of fun and realism, rather than too much of one kind.

I'll give this a try and then comment on it properly.

Due to the limitations of the GTA engine, it ends up being a comprimise between the over-high acceleration inherent in the game and realistically progressive acceleration you get in the Gran Turismo series. The simplicity of the traction settings (just a normal grip and a stressed grip) means that I can simulate some elements of sliding but only in a basic manner, so the cars will basically handle in a realistic manner but will slide in a more acade-like style.

My setups are popular amongst mod makers and mod players, so I think it should sit fairly well in MI too. I wrote a little article called "Why Bother With Handling?" which tries to explain what my style is and what some people think of it. I hope you enjoy. smile.gif
