Since Myriad is an open project for everybody to do whatever the hell they want with, if you didn't buy the rights to do whatever the hell you want with that music, whatever you do, it's your own problem. I can almost promise you that it won't be included in a "final" (and that's never gonna happen anyway) release, because whoever will be making that final release will most likely know if the music is legal or not.
And, since Myriad is mostly about new stuff and not recycled old stuff, nobody would want any music that can be bought in any stores anyway. I sure as hell wouldn't download it. If I already had the original, it would really be a waste of time.
And a final release won't work very well anyway if it means you have to download a 500+ MB package with lots you didn't want to download to begin with. Myriad is modular. If you don't want to download something, you don't have to. Just use this forum and see what's available for download if you in some way or another don't get what I'm talking about. Some people build on lots they don't have, use object ID's they don't have, build objects that don't fit the lots they're built on and I'm pretty sure 1 or 2 live in the illusion that they can control the end result of whatever Myriad will turn into, good or bad. It simply doesn't work that way. Everybody get what they want.
To sum it up, to me, it's pretty simple: 1) Create your own radio station if you feel like it. No point in asking about it. 2) When it's done, do what you want with it. 3) If you break any laws, it's your own problem. 4) If I don't like any released official Myriad radio station, I'm not downloading it.

What's all this about using "illegal" music anyway? I have friends in bands, our site hosts a couple bands free music. Everyone has a computer, a microphone input, and hopefully some personality. We should chop the stations into lots like we did the land, cause my favorite parts of GTA/Vice's radio have been the comercials anyway. Let people submit comercials for their land, sound clips, what ever, and if they're no good, we dump them. Compile what's left with a couple legal tracks, and there you go. Giving one group or person total control of the stations I don't like, and not have some sort of fitting audio seems just wrong. I'm sure there's someone out there with the audio editing skills to manage this project (it's not me for sure), and I'd love to do couple short radio bits.

Yeah, the It's rock, not my band though, good buddies of mine. If you're near Chicago and of age, it's a great time. I'll bounce it off them, all big game freaks, I'm sure they'll love being a part of this. I can make up thier logo for a billboard. I think 'Take a Number' is my favorite from that album, all good stuff though, you should see Pat the drummer, little blond freak. He's the photographer/skater who did all the pics of my girlfriend, she'll be all over the lots I'm doing.

Well, theres not more than one radio station in vc is there? I presonally dont like the Rap station in vc, so i dont listen to it, i flip through, i was assuming it would be the same for this mod, sorry. Oh and this is a nonprofit org here, so i dont see why they would be mad at us for using the music, but then again, you could say that the whole sharing crap comes into play.Oh yea, you listened to the 80's music in vc didnt you? Thats some recycling right there for ya. Anyways all in good fun, i dont really want to flame at all, i just assumed things i shouldnt of, i thought the radio stations would be organized into types and such as they are in the game now, sorry if this caused you to jump on me.
