It [isn't] a mod problem, there's something wrong with my textures in-game and I have no mods installed. Nothing to do with modding

No mods?
Which version did you buy?
Are you playing with the DVD in the Drive?

So you did...
What about the Game itself?
Which version did you buy?
Are you playing with the, Original, installation DVD in the Drive?

No he meant if you own v1 or v2 of the game. If you bought it recently from a store you have v2, and you have to downgrade to v1 to be able to play mods. If it was digital you would own v3.

but since you haven't modded yet that isn't the case, anyway have you try to re-install the game? Just de-install, no need to manually delete files, the new install overwrites them. Oh and the saves still work in your "newly" installed game.

You may have the Graphics corruption problem:
QUOTE
* Graphic Corruptions.
Fix -> Download the "nomorehotcoffee" patch here -> http://nomorehotcoffee.com. Also update your Vista graphics driver, delete [.set] file, and reset ForceWare/Catalyst back to their factory defaults  Now make sure to set the resolution you want to 32-bit and reconfigure the graphics settings to your preference. As a last resort, try a Windows XP driver. The "Black Roads" bug also is another kind of graphic corruption, see below
From This Pinned Topic..

Apparently, this is a known problem on Vista, as mentioned in the Pinned topic I linked to above...That is an entire topic aimed at getting the game to run properly on Vista. Note that the fix it says will only work on natural V1 games, as there is NO patch for V2 games...

Which, it is pretty much only V1 games that would have problems on Vista and 7, as it lacks the updates which V2 and V3 include/have....?

Also, if you have the game on CD(Compact Disc), it is an illegal copy, as SA is on a DVD(Digital Video Disc) and NOT a CD(Compact Disc)...III and VC were the ONLY two PC GTA's to be released on CD's....? So, what version you have-V1 or V2?
