Are you only changing the .dff? You need to make sure you're replacing both the .dff and the .txd with your new car's files.

There's a simple solution to this, DONT USE SAMI, i had many problems while using it like backups geting deleted, files becoming corrupt. You'd be better off using IMG Tool, you have to install you're mods manually but it's alot more realible than SAMI.

Just make sure when you're installing mods with IMG Tool that you replace the dff and txd files and that you rebuild both files after you installed them.

Or something like that, so it doesn't delete it.

IMGTool and SAMI are heavily outdated. Use a more recent tool such as IMG Manager.

When you install mods with IMG Tool just replace the files, don't delete them. And always make sure you make backups of the original files, so if everything goes tits up or you decide you no longer want to use it then you can re-install the original ones. And if you're game's lagging after installing a mod then it's probably a high poly mod that you're computer cant cope with, just un-install it and try another one.
