This is an Indonesian film by a welsh director Gareth Evans, it follows the tale of a group of swats raid on a apartment block full of criminals and pretty much plays out in real time. Its currently got a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes with most hailing it as a modern great and the trailer does nothing but increase my excitement to see it.

All I see is people shooting each other and an awful lot of crappy digital effects. Especially the blood effects.

We need John Woo to make an old school return into the cinema. If this is the best action movie of the year (already..?) it is looking pretty bad.

Go read the reviews, you will see its very well directed with some great choreographed fights.

Wow, this looks great. Loved the music in the trailer and some of those fight scenes look amazing.

Nah, I am pretty sure Skyfall will be your standard over the top PG-13 action where there is no real tension at all because we all no that bullets never touch Bond and he will always come out on top.

not at all, Borne Ultimatum had some fantastic action however when it comes to Bond films I find they lack any sort of tension within the action because the outcome is always going to be bond winning. Big spectacles with huge explosions and gun fights are nothing if there isn't any tension behind it. However blood and violence do help intensify action as well because it makes it very visceral, I mean gunshots with blood are far more effective at effecting the viewer then a gunshot where it just seem air comes out.

Also I think you should read the reviews yourself because thats what I am making my judgement from. All seem to be saying that this is one of the best action film in recent years.

Trailer for the US has been released. Not as good as the original but still fills me with excitement.



I am looking for to this more then anything else in 2012 thats for sure, and yes that includes batman.

Why is the UK getting this after everyone else? And why add "Redemption" into the title? Cheapens it.
