Well, I thought I knew close to everything about GTA III but.... please explain this Pause trick |
Here's how it works: when you are on a Vigilante mission and get close to a suspect, press (PS2/PS3) or 'Esc' (PC) Don't know what's the button on Xbox . Then press the same button again to return to the game. Upon getting back to the game, the suspect will stop and get out of his car, leaving him/her vulnerable for attack ( NOTE: after you get 40+ kills, most of the suspects carry M16s, Sniper Rifles, Flamethrowers or Rocket Launchers!!!), and his/her vehicle abandoned for your taking. P.S. This trick works on ALL versions of GTA III!

I think I have done this once when I was doing vigilante I went on a break came back and that happened yet at the time I thought nothing of it. Also I think it is really funny when pedestrians carry Rocket Launchers, I don't know why

Anyway, there is one little catch here: if after utilising this trick the suspect jacks another car, you will not be able to use this trick again. It is only exploitable on the original vehicle the criminal spawns in. So, in conclusion, this is an easy way to get the following vehicles: Trashmaster, Securicar, Blista and Mr. Whoopee

I got a Cheetah in the CG Starter Save round but I didn't save it as the Stretch for 'Salvatore's Called a Meeting' I suppose that p*sses me off a bit but if you run them over first (similar to that LCS Mission of Donald's with the Ballot Van (Forgot the name)

Just keep driving along the avenue between Porter Tunnel Entrance and the Subway Station Entrance on Portland, and chances are, one will spawn in a short time. This method is also effective for getting yourself a Bus, Trashmaster, Flatbed, Coach, Patriot, Rumpo and Moonbeam. P.S. This doesn't work in the PS2 version...
