As long as your Xbox 360 is backwards-compatible...

Yes-as long as your 360 has a Hard drive(not just the default 256MB that comes with the Arcade model)-It WILL work-ALL GTA's work on the 360(III to SA)-I have confirmed this on the 60GB Pro Model.

Just be warned about certain issues that you may notice, such as something to do with the Audio, but I can't remember what exactly.

I also remember some people reporting scanning lines on-screen, and white noise. Don't know if this is a widespread issue, though.

I have the boxset of the GTA 3 trilogy for Xbox and all 3 games work fine on my 360 slim. I didn't notice any issues, although some cheat codes are quite difficult to pull off, but this is more of an issue with the 360's controller I think. Only feature you can no longer use is the custom playlist (music ripped from CD to HDD) radio station, but seeing as I didn't have that when I played them originally on PS2 I didn't really miss it. Other than that the white and black buttons from xbox get remapped to LB and RB respectively, although I figure that's the case with all original Xbox games that can be played on the 360.
