I heard that GTA2 was available for GameBoy Color. I wanted to get some information about this game, but nothing went beyond the odd 'this suxors...' and I couldn't find any screenshots of it, let alone any download links. So I used a... uh... special program, to download it. Even download locations for this game seemed hard to get, which suprised me, as there was about 300 copies of GTA:SA posted on this P2P file sharing server. And they were full things too, each being about a gigabyte in size! So anyway, I finally found it. If anyone wants some information or screenies on this game, just post and I'll get what you want.

I have the actually GBC copy right upstairs. I remember getting it off Ebay for about $5 or something.

GTA/GTA2 on GBC are really just toned down versions of their PC/Console counterparts. Nothing really special, same view, the guy is really small, but it's surprisingly ok.
Why did it take you so long to find the rom? I found it in about 30 seconds.

That should be enough, eh? They're all from the first sector, mind you. GTA2 for GameBoy Color is way too hard for me to get past even the first Loonies mission! It just doesn't give GTA2 very much replay value, which is a bit unfortunate, because it could have been a huge hit and success.

QUESTION FOR FRED - THE SUPER ADMINISTRATOR: Hey Fred, why do you and the other administrators hate people even talking about dealing games illegaly? It's not like we're gonna put the URL to downloading it on the most popular forum and post a big neon sign picture above it that says 'download your free and illegal copy of GTA2 for GameBoy Color here'. I guess you're one of the softer admins, as the other ones would have gone squealing to the board, as if they were weenas, and then the board would have banned this topic by now if that happened. But anyway, keep up the good work, guys (or gals)!

Sssshhh! Discussing Warez is against the forum rules, you could get yourself banned. But I see the reason behind it, discussion would turn into links, and could attract certain members of the law...
Anyway, I agree, on GBC it is really hard, mainly because the guy walks so goddamn slow!
i'm actually surprised how easy it is to drive compared to the PC versions, it's like the car automatically straightens itself.

I just found out that the original GTA was also released on GameBoy Color! And I'm giving out free copies of it on Febuary 31st! Nah, just kiddin'! See, there's only 28 days (or 29) in Febuary! Geddit? Geddit?

Yup ,both the original GTA and GTA 2 were released for the GBC ,although I don't think it would be easy to buy them ( ... <snip> ... ). If you'd like screenshots of either of those games ,just ask .

I've never heard of anything like that being on the GBC. I didn't think the GBC would have enough memory or power for anything remotely similar to GTA. I wonder if the port is any better than GTA:Advance for the GBA. GTA:Advance was fun when I first bought but got annoying when sprites looked all alike and I couldn't figure out who to kill in the missions.

If GTA2 can be ported to Gameboy Color, would it be possible to make a free-roaming city game for the TI-89 calculator using simple crappy graphics?

Can I see some pics for GTA 1 for GBC please? I wonder if it looks just like GTA2 or worse..
