It really seems to be a kind of performence thing...some of the particletextures are very large.
But the next version will be more optimized and should work much better.

Actually you don't need to do a backup by yourself, the setup will create it for you...but as we krazy krautz like to say 'doppelt gemoppelt hält besser'

I used the Nullsoft-Scriptable-Installer-System(NSIS)...I think it's one of the best free setup tools.
