New to GTA IV and was wondering how exactly do i get mods to work. So far i downloaded ASI loader and Trainer 6.4 i believe, i dropped them directly into my GTA IV folder, assuming that's where they belong. Im also having to run xliveless, not sure if that's a problem or not, just mentioning it. If theres a detailed thread around on exactly how to do this sorry about making a thread just point me in the direction. XD Ty for your time. BTW, the game loads up fine and i can play, just not sure if the mods are working or how the hell i can access them in game.

why do u have to use xliveless? where'd u get the game from?

I bought the game from walmart the other day but ran into a WS10 error, after very little help from R* support i came here and posted my problem. I was told to use xliveless to get my game to work and it did though my game just stops playing after about 20 or so minutes. So i tried to add the cool mods "the reason i bought the pc version" to have some fun with the game. Im lost on what to really do when it comes to games like this. I've played MMO's for the past 7 years and as far as my modding experience goes is dropping addons from curse into my addons folder lol. Also, is there a way for me to play this game without xliveless? Any info or help would be greatly appreciated.

well, xliveless is an asi loader too (u shall only have 1 asi loader!). i guess u're missing the scripthook.

but what's ur game version? cuz we need that one if we're going to help too

first you need to know that in GTA almost everything can be tweaked from the color of the sky to the color of the cars passing by the shock absorbers height . for each thing you have the proper tool . just search download sites tools section for sky color , or handling .. if you're stuck i suggest you search the web for tutorial there are plenty of them . for scripts you need an asi loader like xliveless or dssound , i recommend xliveless myself . for installing these scripts just read the readme included
