~$800, including the OS and Monitor. But I think what you suggested will be fine.

Finn, I can always upgrade in the future though.

Yeah okay, that is true, i have the idea that you spend more now and save later, because now when your GPU performs pretty poorly you will end up spending more in the long run, the 7770 is a very average card...128bit, on average looking at reviews the 685- is about 10Fps ahead, the 6870 is 15fps on average in the more graphic heavy games (7770 was about 30FPS, 6850 40FPS, 6870 45FPS)

On a couple of occasions the 6850 was about 20FPS higher and the 6870 was about 30fps higher than the 7770 in less graphics intensive games

But it's your decision ultimately.
What games were you looking to play?

GTA SA, L4D2 and some other Source Games. I'll probably be getting some more games for my PC now that I will actually be able to run them.

EDIT: Actually, on second though. The budget does allow it. The build Stinky provided me comes out to $750 (not including rebates). I could spare an extra few bucks for a 6850.

Congratulations, you just resurrected the thread with a worse spec than the others have suggested.
