Everytime I install a cleo mod, the game crashes once i started it up, then when I un install the cleo 3 mod, it works, is it a problem on where i should install cleo 3, or put the where i put mod in?

Help me please

You can find a CLEO troubleshooting sector in the SCM Coding FAQ.

When you start GTA SA, do you see at the left lower corner CLEO 3 in yellow?
Did you put the CLEO's in the CLEO folder (Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\CLEO)?

This is something that took me days to fix... ok so you got CLEO.asi, the CLEO folder and the vorbis files, if not get them at sannybuilder now something not mentioned is that you need a new startup exe (Its the thing with ryder on it and if you click it the game starts) i don't know where i found it but it's out there and also be sure your game is version 1.00 or 1.01 if not downgrade and if you have the steam version, your screwed

I have CLEO installed with the left lower corner saying CLEO 3 (1 script loaded) in yellow, but when I try to use the script, nothing happens in the game. I have GTA:SA version 1.01 (US) and CLEO V3.0.5...

Do you have any info that may help me solve this?

im having the same problem but it crashes to the desktop when starting and i unstall it and works fine

1. Have you got San Andreas v1.0 or v1.1?

2. If it crashes, it's not .asi loader... As without asi loader the game won't do anything to do with CLEO.

3. Have you tried redownloading and reinstalling CLEO? A simple step, I know... But sometimes files end up getting corrupted (or is that just me?)

4. Remove all CLEO mods... Does the game work? Add them again one by one until the game crashes. When it does you may have found your problem mod.

5. Which mods are you using?

6. You should have: vorbisFile.dll, vorbishooked.dll, vorbis.dll, ogg.dll, eax.dll, cleo.asi in your main San Andreas folder.

im having a similar problem, it freezes everytime i get into a vehicle when i have the cleo 3 library installed but when i uninstall the library it works fine ive been messing around with it for 4 days and still havnt found the problem but the wierd thing is it was working last week

Remove all your mods, then place them back one by one, testing the game each time. You probably have a script that activates when you enter the vehicle which does not work correctly.

First Uninstall Cleo Then go to Cleo Website and get Basic Install (not installer) Then put all into you SA Dic

im using cleo 3 library auto installer,i start my game,and my game crashes before the game even loads!

1st make sure you installed CLEO correctly:
- the following files should be in your GTA SA directory:

-[folder] CLEO
-cleo.asi
-vorbisfile.dll
-vorbishooked.dll

2nd

make sure you use an exe version which is compatible with CLEO (1.0/1.01)

You guys got it good compared to me, ive tried everything, ive installed cleo at least 20 times and nothing, ive followed each tutorial and also reinstalled the asi file, my problem is that it doesnt show the yellow text and also the cleo mods dont work, yes i hv v1 as i have sami and samp

i got the same problem my game crashes when i start it and its my vorbisfile i know because when i replaced it with my backup vorbisfile it started working fine. can any of you guys tell me how to fix the vorbis file to make cleo 3 work.

VorbisFile.dll is needed to run Cleo. Modified VorbisFile.dll allows San Andreas to load .asi-files, so Cleo won't work without it.

yeah but the modified vorbisfile i use for cleo crashes the game when i start it.

Actually there is CLEO4 and many scripts are using CLEO4 opcodes. Trying to execute not existing opcode will crash the game. Therefore if you're using CLEO3 you must ensure if mod is not using CLEO4 opcodes.
