| QUOTE (Viba @ Jan 9 2009, 14:42) | | QUOTE (Sorkenlol @ Jan 9 2009, 15:41) | This is quite good, much better than that other so called "RL Handling Mod".
The acceleration is still a bit too fast though, I take it you have increased every car with the same numbers giving them double of that triple of this, etc, instead of going through every car to get the values closer to it's real-life counterpart. Busses, vans, and similar big vechiles have a bit too high acceleration and top speed. Other than that, I really like what you've done. Oh and the NRG-9000 is bugged, whenever you accelerate it just rises up in the air and you fall off. |
The NRG is not supposed to do that, did you copy the handling data yourself from the excel file to the .dat file? But anyway even if it isn't bugged it doesn't handle good yet Did you try the low-speed version? As I said earlier I have modified the values with the same multiplyer for each vehicle, and thus the differences between them are rockstars handwriting. I'll probably modify them separately when the mod is getting closer to be finished. | Another thing i noticed: The police car is flipping also too easy. And there are some other cars too, that begin to bounce on every little obstacle, and then flip around whatever you do. Btw, you can get some ideas from the other newly released handling mod. He has modified the deformation values, and thats waaay too much Every little crash causes the car to be unmovable. If you do it, leave the value somewhere between original and that.
