According to me, the biggest obstacle was a street race where you had been given a super GT whereas others were given Bullet, Infernus etc. I nearly got frustated and i stopped playing for a while. But then I decided to complete it because that was the only thing remaining to complete 100%. So I practised using Super GT on the streets without overturning and skidding (which is honestly the only thing I dislike in GT), then I tried the race again, after 2-3 tries, I finally completed it with a message saying the rewards received for completing the 100%. And that was truly my moment of relief and pride.

Have never completed it 100%, but I guess that collectibles are a big pain in the ass for me for some reason.

I completed GTA San Andreas (100%) two times without using any cheats. The most annoying part was searching the snapshots.

For the 100% challenge I guess the worst obstacle was at the time "Just business" mission, man I had to do that mission so many times and now I can almost do it with my eyes closed.
For the PS2 it's still Zero's "Air Raid" I haven't been able to finish that mission yet
But still for me the hardest thing is to complete is the burn and lap drive school mission with gold (although it is not required for 100%)

Same for me. Well actually BMX and NRG challenges are ok in my opinion, but Chiliad races are driving me crazy . It's not that they are hard, they are actually quite easy, but going all way up to the top of the Mount Chiliad everytime after race is quite annoying. Not to mention that if you fail the race, it's much better choice to reload than going all the way to the top again.

Finding ALL 100 tags... I guess all collectibles are were pretty hard to search for me, but tags took the most time.

The collectibles are definitely the most tedious and annoying thing about 100% completion for me. I don't have many problems with the other stuff and most are quite enjoyable but the collectibles have always been the thing that gets in my way. The first time I played I did get what I found but I certainly didn't bother looking for all of them by myself, but even with a guide it was still a bit of a chore going all around San Andreas picking everything up. However, I knew if I wanted to get 100% I couldn't keep avoiding it.

The NRG-500 Challenge drove me to the very edge of my insanity a few times but I eventually got 100% without cheats. The rewards are awesome too!

This. There especially was one tag in Ocean Docks that took me days to find, then, one day, I randomly came across it while driving.

Back in the day "Wrong side of the tracks" was the hardest mission for me, I couldn't complete it no matter how many times I tried.

Until one day, when I f*cking did!

Then I had a friend call me over and help him complete his.

I agree, the tanker missions were the hardest part for me too. Even knowing the best route it's all up to chance if the police will ram you the wrong way and cost you the mission. Sometimes I wouldn't have a chance in hell while the next try I'd get by with hardly any problems. It's just the chaotic nature of the police slamming into you that make it so unpredictable and challenging.

burn and lap drive school mission, hardest mission to get Gold. But, i success complete that mission.

if i stuck: "OPTIONS -> DISPLAY SETUP -> ADVANCED -> FRAME LIMITER -> OFF" after that it looks not too hard. i got 100% (gold) twice. And of course a three cool car in front of car school house!
