I also don't know if you think that your HUD is modern, light and slimmed down, but I certainly don't. I think that the HUD has to be transparent so that they eyes aren't naturally drawn to it all the time. Also, your radar could be considered confusing as there is no indication as to which way Niko is facing.
Did you honestly expect a positive reception to this nonsense? A round of applause, maybe?
lol, buster |

Hey guys! I saw this thread and thought I'd share my HUD "ideas". I believe the HUD in GTA4 is pretty sweet, so I just added a few tweaks to show ways R* could incorporate a speed-o-meter. Here's my first idea: But then I thought, some people might want a way to indicate their speed (I also included a green arrow to indicate a gear shift, just in case GTAV gets manual trans.). So I made this: But I also designed another style (there's a triangle in it to indicate RPM but it might be hard to see): This one is more comparable to speed-o-meters we see on cars now a days. Here's that design, but with the actual speed shown: Here's that design but with indication that it is safe to shift (green text): So those are my ideas, what do you guys think? Also, this is my first post on gtaforums! (I am a long time reader though). It's also 4AM where I live and I haven't slept so sorry if this post seems choppy.
