As I was driving through the stinky, crime-ridden city of Los Santos, I realized that something was missing. And that something would really bring Los Santos to life. Los Santos has inter-city transit but does it have inner-city transit like it's neighbor to the north? No. So I was wondering, was it at all possible to implement a running GTAIV-like subway circuit (dumbed down a bit of course) under Los Santos? Would it also be possible to implement a working, rideable bus system? I have done some experimenting the Xtrain track editor 1.5 and it seems possible if the routes ran in a circuit. So using Map Editor and the tool previously stated, plus some objects from the Market Station as my station template, how hard would this be? Am I way in over my head or is this a dumb idea?

Here is my initial route plan:

As you can see, the system is divided in half, with the downtown block area acting as a transit mall (kinda like Pioneer Square in Portland) for riders to transfer between the two. If this project was successful, I was thinking of perhaps implementing a streetcar system serving just the Los Santos downtown area.

Good idea, just don't use original SA map objects. 3D Model a new track in 3dsmax, what are your thoughts on doing that?
If you used original SA objects and placed them in MEd it would look very low quality and amature, but it would fit in perfectly if it was custom made from scratch.

Well then that would be completely new to me, I've had pretty minimal 3d experience but now I have a reason to learn how. I shall go download the program and try to get comfortable with it!

Please dont rush him. We all know what happens when things are rushed and less attention is paid to ironing.

This is a great idea. The existing Brown Streak Railroad feels too "simple", does not have enough stations, and is only useful for intra-city travel.
