Hi.

I have a problem with mi mission, it crashes at a certain point, and i don't know why, i've made lots of missions and solve lot of trouble i've had, but i'm stuck on this. If some of you could fix it, i really would be very grateful. Or you could tell me where's the error that makes the mission crash.

There are 4 areas which player teleports, in the 4th and final area is where the crash occurs.
You have to destroy 5 bikes, and after that you have to eliminate the final boss, when he appears as objective, the mission sometimes crash, sometimes don't.

Add a gatling gun at the beggining of the mission if necesary, it can be a little hard to pass it.
If you need to eliminate things like actors or objects to fix the mission, then don't fix it, just let me know it.

Thanks.

Here's a couple of things I know that could make the mission crash:

-Spawning too much things at the same time.
-A lot of things (actors, car, objects, pick up,...) at a location.
-Actors route points.
...

Here's the thing you should do to avoid crashes:

-Hide all the dead bodies (the player killed).
-Be careful adding route points, don't add too much.

Hope it help. icon14.gif

if DYOM crashes it may be because you created too much thing in the same place (for example creating 50 actors in Grove street).
An other thing that may crash DYOM is the move animation: when you create an actor with run or walk animation you have to add route points with N and finish with Y, if you dont add rooute points DYOM crash.

if you want to prevent Dyom crash hide the actors that you don't use, dead actors and never spawn an actor near other actors at the same moment.

I didn't know that.
I'll see if that's the problem, if don't, i though in changing the whole scene.

Thank you guys.

What I usually do just in case is make a base mission without any cutscenes but has the basic objectives and make a backup of it. After that I experiment with the backup file and route everything in the right place, might take awhile but its worth it.

If that doesn't work then I usually just keep my mission backups and then reinstall the mod and route everything back together again. Usually works for me.

this is a good tactic

especially because dyom has a lot of bugs and route points may crash the game in you dont set them correctyìly
