I went to five different places looking for skate, finally found it at an out of the way Circuit City. Even then there were two left. This game is really making me want a gold membership, and a wireless adapter.

the search for it, and the difficulties involved is really pushing me away from local retail shops. i went to EB games, and the 2 different employees had 2 different stories, one said they only had enough to fill the pre-orders(likely out of instinct) and the other guy corrected him and said they hadn't got it in yet. if best buy doesn't have it tomorrow, i am saying f*ck it, and ordering it and all my future games through amazon.

I f*cking hate EB. When I went, there were three f*cking high schoolers, and the one I asked about skate, said, "Don't have it. You should have pre-ordered it. You like Halo? You should pre-order Halo 3."

I wanted to crush his f*cking skull in. First off, no one predicted that skate would be selling out left and right, which is the main reason why there were so little pre-orders, and so many walk-ins.

The guy at Best Buy said, there was a 10 person line on friday, he only got 15 units in, and sold them out in a half hour.

The Target I went to had an electronics department run by an 80 year old man. They were sold out, so I asked, "Can you find out if a store close by has it." The way every modern chain store does it. The guy with a snarl says, "NO! You need a UPC number!" I just gave up right there. I didn't want to confuse this decrepit f*ck by asking if he could just call another store and ask.

All in all, this game blew up like a powder keg. And no one expected it.

I guess. But it's so frustrating when you try so hard, but just get killed because some guy is using last stand. Not worthwhile what so ever. I'll get the full game no doubt. But only play online games that have perks turned off. Or if they tone the perks down.

Yeah, i guess once the full game comes out they'll probably have the option to turn perks off in the multiplayer matches. Like other games let you turn of particularly guns in the multiplayer options. The one perk that does my head in is getting shot through walls, you can't see who you are getting shot by and where from until the death camera comes on. For some reason when i shoot through walls no one dies.

I picked up skate at GameStop the day it came out. Not many people in my area have an Xbox360 so they had plenty in stock.
The game is awesome. I haven't played it online yet because I'm waiting for some friends to get it.
It froze twice on me today. The first time it froze, I was just skating outside of the subway after loading a career. The second time, however, froze while trying to load a replay I saved to my hard drive.

I've been wondering... How much do people actually talk on Xbox Live?
The only time I have to play online is at night. I can't really make much noise so this means no talking.

I am going through my games, A to Z, and playing through at least the storyline of each game, just to say i completed it.

i cannot believe how frustratingly horrible battlefield 2: modern combat's AI is. the enemies can detect which player you are controlling and go right for you, and your teammates jump off roofs. its a good thing the game has decent multi-player, because the AI is game-breaking

A ton of people still play it. It's one of the best Xbox360 games to play online.

Yeah I just popped it in today for the first time in a while. Forgot how laggy some kills can get, especially with the knife. Me and a buddy are helping each other get the Achievements, which I have to say is very difficult even with help.

Got skate, but haven't even had time to even unwrap the package. Right now the TV's occupied, so it looks like it'll be another night without it.

yeah, i have come to the conclusion that battle field 2: MC is a sh*tty game. they might as well have sold it as a multi-player only game for 25 bucks, because the single player is so frustrating, its useless. from your idiotic teammates to the enemies with the super-sniper-assult rifle kills, it feels like a chore to play.

I have the mp demo with the Bridge Too Far level and I found it really addicting. Is it easy these days to fill up a lobby and start a game, or has it died out?

Also, anyone else still play Fight Night 3? Another addicting game, and I'm not a sports/boxing fan either.

When I first downloaded the FN3 demo, I couldn't stop playing. I'll pick it up sometime... There's just too many good games coming out now. It's pretty cheap, too.

Skate is really fun, found a fun spot called the Hellevator, 30 foot drop. Can't land anything though.

Anyone tried the SEGA Rally demo?

I didn't like it much. I guess I was expecting something a bit more realistic, silly as I later realized that all the previous titles had been arcade racers. But still. They brag about how the cars carve tracks into the dirt, which then stay there for the duration of the race, and affects handling - but you have close to no feel for the steering and the surfaces you're racing on. It's a good idea, but it just seems silly in a game like that.

Then there's the whole odd proportions of the cars/wheels, again tied to the arcade'ish feel, wheels cutting through mudflaps and the body, weird looking mud particles, etc.
