So on my Mac I have GTA:SA and I have a place to put my own mp3s in Documents/Rockstar Games/GTA San Andreas User Files/User Tracks. I also understand you need to scan the tracks within the game's options but my question is how do you get it to work? I tried placing MP3 files in that folder, then scanned them in-game, and all I get are commercials in the custom radio station. Should I put shortcuts to the music files within my iTunes? Can the game play m4v's or just MP3's? I'm not sure what else to do. Respond with the best of your knowledge, thanks.

The actual MP3 files (or Shortcuts) should work.

It is best to use Shortcuts to the songs and NOT the actual songs, as it not only takes up less space, but works best...

Also, Do you have the latest version of WMP-Ie. WMP 11 OR 12 installed on your PC?-If not, try that cause you may be missing a codec needed...

Also, remember that the game CANNOT recognize Protected Songs-Ie. Downloads from I-Tunes, Wal-Mart Downloads, Amazon Downloads, Napster, Rhapsody, etc. that were sold before around Feb. 2009, as before that those download stores sold Protected media and were just starting to switch over to the current .MP3 downloads(ones without a song license)...The game has no way of accessing the required license information, is why it cannot play Protected songs...

Also, is this the Retail(DVD) version OR a Downloaded version?
If Downloaded, from where?
If Retail, Is this the Original DVD being used OR a No-DVD crack OR a Copy of said DVD used?
Any Daemon tools or the like installed on PC?-These can cause problems with games...
