Alright i did something to my computer today which made my gta iv/eflc not run at all, it came up with an error saying cannot find license or something like that and i bought the game legit. I tryed reinstalling my gta iv twice and still nothing now i get the black dos box and then it says gta iv has stopped working. Can someone please help me? dont know what to do ive been researching and nothing

What did you do in the first place?
There should be a "revoke license" shortcut in the start menu GTAIV programs group. Use it to free the license data and then run LaunchGTAIV.exe to reactivate the game.
You will need to install this GFWL update.
If that fails, try following through the manual installation process https://support.securom.com/rockstarunlock/...ex.php?c=unlock

well i went into my computer and users (me) and right clicked on properties displayed hidden files and it like erased all of documents then i redid it to make all folders and stuff show again, i tryed starting up gta iv and got could not write license data

Besides the GFWL install Patch 7 as well.

That should make it run again because the black window comes up then it stops working says gta iv.exe has stopped working this should solve situation??

It didnt work now it says securom launcher has stopped working

Have you tried doing the manual activation thing I linked you to above?
Try using the securom removal tool https://support.securom.com/removaltool.html

i have tryed both and still nothing im manually deleting the files for securom i dont know why its screwing up on me this never happend

Nvm i got it work, i had to change gta iv compatibiltiy to vista..

only thing is now i cant play multiplayer when i have legit game?
