Hey guys,

I'm playing the XBOX version of San Andreas, and I've been trying to collect the oysters. It's something I wanted to do since I've never tried a 100% playthrough before. Any case, I'm having a dilemma: I followed a map online, and I thought I'd found them all when I'm actually finding myself at 49/50. I've gone through them all again to no avail. It's driving me crazy. Do you guys think the file/data/whatever is corrupt? Any suggestions?

This is the best map I've found on the Internet:
Oysters Map
When I first started playing (PS2) I printed it off. Put it in a Page Protector and used a China Marker (office supply, like a crayon pencil) to mark off the locations as I found them. Then erased the marker to reuse the map the next time I played.

The Oysters usually missed are the one in Glen Park, In the Swimming Pool of the Mulholland Mansion, one at the bow of the Automobile transport ship.

There's not much we can do for you without discribing each and everyone of them.
Tricky ones to get are the one in the Submarine Pen and under the bow of the Marine Attack Transport.

Funny, that's the map I've been using, along with this one as it gives screenshots as well. I figure I'll give it another run through (particularly the spots you mentioned), but I was just wondering if there was anything similar to what's available for the PC version (SAMA) for the XBOX/PS2 versions. May have to just give up on this.

If you click on the # on the map I referenced you will also see a picture of the Oyster.

I don't know of any SAMA for the Xbox.
I wonder though, If the Xbox is only a downgraded computer might not the save game be uploadable to our Mission Help?

If you've got a method to get your save off the xbox so you can upload it somewhere (GTASnP probably won't work for xbox saves) then I can probably hack it enough to analyze it with SAMA or other save tools. Xbox saves are essentially the same as PC except that a little extra xbox data is attached.

You might also try watching a video collection of the oysters. Something might pop out that you missed.

Or, start a new save and use cheats to lock the wanted level and max a few skills and make a fresh collection. It's really hard to verify something really isn't there unless you are sure where it is in the first place.

There is very little chance that your save is glitched without an oyster or an incorrect count. It's got to be there someplace.
