| QUOTE (Stefche @ Mar 6 2010, 13:18) | To be honest, from a Man United perspective I couldn't give two sh*ts about Owen. I'm shattered for him personally, his whole career has been hampered by injury after injury, and now when he gets some vague sort of playing time, he's injured, again. But United (and England) don't really need him that much, so in the end it's not going to hamper our title pledge.
We have plenty of stocks up front; sign one semi-decent striker in the summer who wants out at his club and we'll be cruising. | He has scored some vital goals. Give the guy some respect.

I'm not disrespecting the guy, he's a legend of the game, for sure. But in the bigger picture he's our 4th striker (if you consider Nani a striker) so it isn't as shocking as if Rooney or Berbatov were out for the rest of the season. My whole argument almost goes to sh*t since Rooney is injured and Owen probably would've been needed, but how severe is his injury? They say he'll most likely miss the home match against Inter so it can't be more than a couple of weeks, surely? To be honest, I think it's more crucial to have both Vidic and Ferdinand at the back because with both of them there it's like putting a brick wall in front of defence; the rest of the team will be able to be more attacking and push up more with those two dropped back.

BTW we are play AC Milan in the Champions League not Inter

Quiz to do with all teams that have played a premier league match. I got 42/43. Bastard West Ham tripped me up...
EDIT: 42 again! Bloody Derby County this time. I give up... This post has been edited by nerner on Sunday, Mar 7 2010, 13:11
