Do you ever talk to yourself? I'm just curious, cause some of my friends do it.

I have entire conversations with myself, in my head. Almost never out loud though.

Something that irks me about sitcoms like the Big Bang Theory and such is when everyone else leaves the room and one character is left and they make some witty or clever comment out loud for the benefit of the audience but I'm just sitting thinking, "Who does that? Why would they say it out loud?".

I sure do, all the time. Sometimes I look in the mirror whilst I do it too, and if The Sims has taught us anything it's that my charisma levels should be through the roof. Unfortunately it's not the case, I have the charisma of an ugly cat.

I tend to do it more whilst I'm alone though, occasionally I'll sing to myself too. Sometimes I'll be walking down the street and not even realise I'm doing it, then I turn a corner and come across someone who clearly heard me coming and they must think I'm a f*cking loon. My singing voice is really terrible so they usually spit my face and call me scum, old women especially.

Endlessly and everywhere. It can be pretty hard to tell me apart from the homeless freaks on most days.

I do when I'm alone, it's more of thinking out loud than having an actual conversation with myself. Although sometimes I catch myself saying "we" when I'm really only referring to me alone.

Yeah, I do. Most of the people do it. No, you're not becoming crazy nor schyzophrenic if you talk to yourself. It is when you talk to other people that are not there that you should worry

It's perfectly normal to talk to yourself, it's even really good for you.

And here I was thinking I'm insane. Yea, I talk to myself alot. Sometimes it's audible, but only at whisper level. I mostly talk in my head though, about a lot of things. Usually just questioning everything I do and think. I'm still pretty sure I'm a tad insane though. Sometimes I feel like I'm trapped in my head and can't escape. It's a pretty terrible feeling. There was also this one time when I was going to sleep and thought about how when I close my eyes I just see the inside of my eyelids and then I felt like I couldn't not see. That was frustrating and almost made me panic.

if you don't talk to yourself, you're mentally deficient.
now talking out loud? that's another story. I bet most people do sometimes. I've caught myself doing it.

For example, I'm starting TES:Oblivion up and I say out loud 'Alright, starting Oblivion up *random facts about the Game*, *Where I am in the game*, *What I want to do*.'

It's always either in English or in German, it's rarely in Persian. Persian sounds a bit, pussy-ish. Because your pitch is higher when you speak Persian than when you would speak English, German (or Arabic, for example, which beats German by a mile).

I am like a narrator, I think it stems in the fact that I'm alone at home most of the time, and it's been like that for years, and it's just engrained itself into my mind that I should just narrate every-f*cking-thing. There is me, there is the other me, and then there is the audience, but the audience is very rare, half the time there is me and the 'other me'. The other me is the sarcastic ass I am in real life, and 'me' is the benevolent pussy I am on the internet or when talking to people I don't know.

When something bad happens we exchange thoughts and try to calm me down, which is sometimes extremely helpful.

I'll tell myself about my day, and reflect on my beliefs to myself when I get bored. Kind of like writing a diary to short-term memory. I used to do it for such long periods at a time that I'd miss whole hours because I decided to lay down and think to myself.

When I was younger I talked to the background noises all the time. By that I mean humming that I constantly heard as a child, or sometimes this rhythmic drumming that would come and go. It was never anything pronounced or profound, and my conversations might as well have been with myself as I didn't usually get replies.

Yes i do, it's called thinking, talking out loud to myself? well, i do it sometimes when i'm alone but it's always about random sh*t and i always refer to myself as "we" lol, kinda creepy if you asked.
