I've tried searching for a long time and I've found a lot of discussions of other gta4 mods but none of them seem to do exactly what I want so... I'll just type out a description and if it's already covered in another mod, perhaps someone would be nice enough to point me to that mod, or... something else?
My biggest problem with GTA4 is the car camera while driving fast, very fast. I prefer either the 900cc super bike, or the Comet car, and I typically am rather good at driving in and out of traffic at very high speeds without hitting anything. My problem however is when driving straight at high speeds, the camera will lower down behind the car and lock in place. This is not very good because when moving at these speeds, I need to be able to see a lot farther in front of me than this camera allows, to avoid obstacles and other cars. Usually I keep the camera high in the air up above the back of the car, and it needs to be up there high behind it.
Now... I don't necessarily want nor need a "fixed car camera" mod, I want to be able to move it around, but what I want is for the camera to just... STAY WHERE I LEAVE IT AT and stop lowering down behind the car when moving fast. This is very fustrating, I usually have to "wiggle" the camera side-to-side behind the car just to get it to stay up there while moving fast.
This is my only dislike with this game, otherwise I love it and everything about it.
Any help would be appreciated.
