Just started to play it. Finished Vice City,GTA I,II,III and Liberty city.

What advice can you give me?

don't stop playing it

to be honest there really are few things different strategywise to GTA VC in terms of completeing the game, there is a sh*t-tonne more stuff to do but in terms of how you go about doing the missions it is pretty similar to Vice City, My tips:
Use assault rifles when you can,

get the spray tags ASAP to get an AK47

keep a good supply of money cos you lose your weapons several times in the story

kill drug dealers (guys in black tank tops or white hoodies and blue jeans) for about 2000 dollars

don't spend too much money getting thousands of bullets for weapons as they get replaced (particularly pistols and smgs)

try and get ammo from pickups when you can

same with armour, always look for armour

when you unlock the casinos use them to get uber money (if you are ok at blackjack)

use bikes, swimming or running etc. to increase your maximum health (i do it when getting tags)

Be smart about which houses you purchase. Some houses do not have garages, while others can hold more cars than others. Also, some missions are optional. I made the mistake of doing all the San Fierro missions that weren't needed, and it dilutes the storyline a bit

BUT MOST OF ALL.... Watch THE INTRODUCTION. It will help you figure out the storyline in your journey.

1. Kill drug dealers on sight
2. Do NOT eat too much, or you will gain weight
3. Make sure to eat at least once per game day, or your health will start to drop
4. Do NOT attempt to leave the island at the start of the game, or you get 4 stars
5. Do NOT enter area 53 or easter basin military base or you get 6 stars
6. Some girlfriends require you to meet certain likes. For instance, Michelle likes fat, so you must be at the highest you can be in fat to date her. However after a certain mission, you get to date denise after you save her, and she dont have requirements.

7. Do NOT hit or shoot your girlfriend or she will leave you.
8. Dont crash into gas pumps!
9. Do not fly a plane too close to the ground or in the country. Sometimes on the console versions of SA, trees take too long to show up, and sometimes when flying it shows up too late the you crash and blow up.
10. The better you dress, the more respect you get.

Underlined=It's area 69.
Bolded=You won't get 6 stars but 4 stars if you haven't unlocked San Fierro yet.

@TS, like what ccrogers15 said, kill approximately 5 dealers to get $10,000(i think).
Once you have 10k buy the Jefferson safe house. Now since Jefferson safehouse is the nearest safehouse to the Inside track betting, try killing 1 drug dealer and save. You get approximately $2,000. Go to the Inside track Betting shop, and bet $2,000. If you lose the horse race, do NOT save. If you lose, re-load the game. If you win the race, save. Since your money multiplies depending on your wager, I consider this trick very useful.

Try also doing FireFighter or Paramedic side-missions, it doesn't matter if you fail the side-mission, you can always retry them. What matters is the money you receive.
When you are done with Cesar Vialpando mission, you can also do the Lowrider challenge and bet $1k, if you're skilled enough.

Also, here are notable weapon locations:
AK-47:Behind Roboi's Food Mart Mulholland Branch, located below the mansion of Madd Dogg.
Flowers(safest weapon when entering LSPD quarters):Just at the front of the gas station located near Alhambra dance club.
Chrome Shotgun:With the flowers equipped, you can enter LSPD quarters w/o trouble. It's just located at an office.
SMG:At the roof of Jefferson Motel

Since classes are suspended tomorrow here in the Phil., I think I'll make a video of basic weapon locations if I have time.

Sorry for the bump, but SirDarkKnight Pmed me.

There are some things you should llok on before starting the game.
Do NOT activate the Peds Riot cheat because it causes a glitch in the mission Madd Dogg and the Peds Riot cheat cannot be deactivated even if it is deactivated minor peds such as hot dog sellers will attack you.

Do not type over 100 cheats before the mission Are you going to San Fierro?. I have heard that typing over 100 cheats will make you unable to continue the rest of the storyline. I'm NOT sure of it though.

Once gyms become unlock do not attack the gym guys a lot as this may cause a glitch that is known as the gym bug that causes CJ to never be able to work out... ever. If this occurs to you
do the following
Firstly REMOVE ALL tattoos at a tattoo parlor.
Then change your hairstyle at a barber's.
Then Buy a WHOLE set of clothing in a shop, according to someone on these forums you HAVE to BUY the following (not change in your wardrobe):
A new torso clothing
A new leg clothing - you NEED to get a new set of BOXERS from BINCO as well
A new pair of shoes
A new hat
A new set of shades
A new chain
A new watch

To prevent this glitch eat reguratly, optimize the use of Madd Dogg's gym, do not save at Madd Dogg's mansion and DO NOT attcak the gym members

There is another glitch called the Pool Glitch where CJ cannot play pool, because people inside bars acting as if you are attacking the bar (the bartender for some reason will be loaded holding her hands in the air as if you are pointing a gun at her.

To cure the Pool Glitch do the following
Firstly REMOVE ALL tattoos at a tattoo parlor.
Then change your hairstyle at a barber's.
Then Buy a WHOLE set of clothing in a shop, according to someone on these forums you HAVE to BUY the following (not change in your wardrobe, if you have bought all clothes, you can still buy them again):
A new torso clothing
A new leg clothing - you NEED to get a new set of BOXERS from BINCO as well
A new pair of shoes
A new hat
A new set of shades
A new chain
A new watch

To prevent the pool glitch
Do not save at Madd Dogg's mansion
Do not attack the peds in the bar frequently

The Basket ball glitch
A lot of people have discovered that basketballs NEVER appear on ANY courts in their game anymore.

Cause: Saving at Madd Dogg's Mansion
Solution:
1. Go to the nearest Safe House and save the game 6 times (thus skipping some days)
2. Go to the nearest Fast Food Restaurant and eat as much as possible
- get CJ quite fat
3. Completely change CJ's appearance - clothes, haircut, and tattoos.

It has been suggest that driving certain vehicles near a basketball court can cause a problem, but in the case of this glitch, that is NOT the problem (I just spent a morning trying loads of different vehicles).

So briefly what I've got to say is try and optimize the use of cheats (do not type the peds riot cheat ever)
DO NOT ever save at Madd Dogg's mansion, save at the safe house just a few yards away from it.
DO NOT use Madd Dogg's Gym
DO NOT attack Gym members or Bar members frequently
EAT regularly

hmmm.... where did you play gta sa? are you play in PC? just for fun, you can play GTA SA in multiplayer, and make your GTA SA more realistic with mod in GTAgarage.com

NOTE: but don't use sobeit, and cleo mod when you play SA-MP(san andreas multi-player)

Well Do not cheat that is the main thing

if you have trouble with any mission check out the forums

If you play on PC dont use lot of mods it may ruin your game

try driving without the radar to get used to the map

there is a stunt park in jefferson you can use for stunting

investigate myths just for fun....

try pursuits with 6 stars no cheats

do the ambulance missions in angel pine for faster finishing

spray tags with the help of the tag map

try getting to liberty city with the help of videos

check out blue hell very fun....

Aim for 100 percent completion

do stunts with the hydra

go to the gym and workout regularly to keep fit


practise shooting one at a time with each gun to improve

join the san andreas chain game you will enjoy! [ if you play on pc!]

That is true. Its a no cheat feature but only in the PC version. Type 100 or more, and the game locks out anymore missions if your before that mission. Its gone in the PS2, Xbox and Xbox 360 version though,

Yeah it is a good feature that the game developers have put in the game so people won't cheat a lot and experience bugs and glitches.
