Can't really do that. Every part of the world is at a totally different elevation, so if you raise the water, certain parts won't be submerged, some will be submerged to your knees, and some will be too deep.

Hi, I've been trying to increase wave size, any tips for that? Also, if I delete everything except for a few lines that supposedly cover the entire map with water, my game crashes. Why?

QUOTE (JKM @ Thursday, Dec 25 2008, 16:38)
ok for everyone here a definition:

The water.dat consist of:
CODE
x, y, z, param1, param2, param3, param4, [param5], [param6]

param5 and param6 exist only at the end of each line (1 line = 1 surface)

the surface can be defined like:
CODE
# 1 --- 3
#      /
#    /
#  /
# 2 --- 4

1, 2, 3 and 4 are vertexpoints of each surface. So you have to define the x,y and z coordinate for every vertex point within the 4 parameters... and at the end you will add param5 and param6

param1 till param4 are the same like SA.

param5 can have following values: 5,8,9,13

CODE
param5 < 4:
- no water

param5 = 4:
- invisible water
- waves

param5 = 5:
- visible water
- waves
- wavesimulation (if a car or ped fall into the sea)

param5 = 8:
- no water?

param5 = 9:
- no water?

param5 = 13:
- visible water
- no waves
- no wavesimulation through peds or cars

param6 defines waves too... combined with the value 15 for param5 you can have small waves wink.gif

Where can I find documentation on what the other params are for?
