- If you are critically injured, your body will constantly lose health until you get medical assistance
(or die). You will behave like someone that's critically injured.

- If you are not critically injured, your body will heal slowly through time. You may not be able to
sprint until you're at least partially recovered.

INSTALLATION:
==========

Place the files BleedHeal.net.dll and BleedHeal.ini into the scripts folder within the game directory.

INI FILE:
======

Change the values inside BleedHeal.ini to control the mod behavior.

CriticalHealth=30 --> in percent of total health. Can go from 1 to 99. It is the limit between not being
critically injured and being critically injured. If you have more health than indicated here you will
recover through time, and the only penalty is not being able to sprint until you're partially recovered. If
you have less health than indicated here, you will be considered critically injured and your body will
start to malfunction.

TimeToBleed=10 --> in seconds, can go from 1 to 30. This is the period in which you will lose health if
critically injured. Greater numbers will bleed slower, lesser numbers will bleed quicker.

TimeToHeal=10 --> in seconds, can go from 1 to 30. This is the period in which you will recover health if not
critically injured. Greater numbers will recover slower, lesser numbers will recover quicker.

NoSprint=1 --> 1 means you won't be able to sprint until you're partially recovered from non critical
injuries. 0 means it won't affect your sprint ability.

BehaveInjured=1 --> 1 means you will behave injured if critically injured. 0 means you will behave as if you
had perfect health even if you're about to die (like in the original game). IMPORTANT: If wanted by police,
your character will make an effort and run even if he's critically injured, at the cost of bleeding a
little quicker (while running).

Cool mod! I am really waiting to see it in action. Could it be an option in a future version for 0 health regeneration (so that it can only be filled up with medical care/pack or food/drink)?
PS; About your Drive Felony mod hope to see soon the TBoGT police vehicles update.

Like HippieCommunist said, You maybe should add some additionnal effect, if not on the character, then on the screen..
Like the black & white effect where you are dead that you can customize on timecycmodifiers.dat , you can put it red and use a fade effect on this one.

But it's just an idea =)!

No there's not. In fact, this mod was at least one month old by the time it was released, and what was keeping me from publishing it was exactly the lack of a visual dripping of the blood. confused.gif . I'm kinda new GTA modder (doing it for 2 months, at most), and i don't have a clue on how to deal with textures, particles and sprites in the game. Neither i could find an example script to get me started.

If anybody knows how to deal with sprites, particles or textures (making it appear on the hud or in objects), i would appreciate the help, just to give me a start. tounge2.gif

There's an example of drawing to the HUD in the .NET scripthook called TextureDrawingExample, but I haven't tried it.

I like the mod. But when I go to eat something at a vendor to heal, Niko can't eat it cause he is hunched over sad.gif also, I noticed after I tried to eat i couldn't control my direction of walking, I'm unsure if this is related to the eating or my lack of much health. anyway, keep up the good work, hopefully you can work out those two bugs

Yea this is thanks to being pretty critically injured I believe as you can see this while trying to pick up a spilled over bike or if you're trying to run when you start to bleed into being pretty close to death. A few times I've been able to get out of the dazed/bleeding stumble if Niko was caught up in a pile of objects or such by attempting to jump but generally by that point things weren't going to be any different with a few more seconds of freedom. I've been running into a hospital an grabbing the med pack on the wall or getting into an ambulance to heal myself so I never noticed the eating issue. Outside of that I think it's pretty accurate, I can only imagine trying to pull up, get on, then control a sport bike at any real speed with considerable wounds and injuries. (mmm then again there's always battle adrenaline) I think depending on how much one's gone in an tweaked any of the values not only here but in other mods as well like Prof_Farnsworth's Bullet Impact Euphoria you'll see an interaction between them. Most noticeably when you're critically injured & really bleeding it might trigger the uncontrollable acceleration if you have it enabled. icon14.gif

what? says who? stick that weiner into the wound and plug it up! lol, you're right, but it sucks having to try to rush to the hospital and avoid other cars (I have in car damage mod tounge.gif )

your mod is great but a little too hard. When you are bleeding, it is very difficult to find some health...

Can you release a light version with only Behave Injured but without lose health ?

not bad.... i could make a suggestion that you could add that if your health is less than 10% and close to nearly dying....make it that youre unable to get anything to eat to refil your health as a mod like this is aiming to have a lil realism sooo instead of eating, you can make a script where you can have the option to ring up either roman or patrick or whoever friend that is and they can come and pick you up like the taxi feature in gtaiv and they can either A)take you to a hospital but itll cost a lot or B)they take you to their hideout and you stay there like a few hours until your health is nearly full and feeing better, just like how you stay long in a pay n spray garage when getting a respray on a car. so you'll have some option that cost either money or time with those things......

or another thing you can do is when you go to the back of the trunk of the car youre using in the game you can enable it to open it and make it so that youre getting your health from the back of a trunk. make a health trunk script where it tops up either half or full up of your health.

just thought up another one, youre like so close to death you cant even be able to drive cos you cant drive while youre bleeding out everywhere, make it so that youre unable to get in your car and drive and instead have an animation where everytime you open the car door you just fall over like a rag doll. if you got so shot up would you be even able to drive yourself without dying? hell even when you got a motorbike as your ride make that also that youre unable to get on a bike while having less than 10% cos youre injured as fk.

i really like these realism mods you got going mate......good effort.

This mod is great, but I just noticed recently that when you're in the bleeding state, if the injured animation is enabled you can't call an ambulance (animation of putting phone away just loops), and I don't think you can purchase food. The only option* is to find a medkit, or if you have another mod that heals you. I have since been playing with injured animation disabled, but I feel the animation adds immersion.

The only thing, IMO, this mod needs: fix the injured animation to not play when purchasing food/drink, or when taking out and using the phone. It would add to the mod, getting into a crash and having to call 911 for an ambulance to heal you.

Edit: * just remembered that if you find an ambulance you can get in it to heal a bit. Minor correction.

The author, BR_Goianiense, either needs to seriously consider updating to include these fixes/features, or go open source and let the community step in. My 2 cents...
