HI friends today i have been reinstalling the GTA IV game for about 4 times now!!

I am keep getting the error in RGSC that 'Application failed to launch'

It is really frustrating...back when i was running WINXP [I mean few months ago] it run pretty well had no problem,the very same disks.But now with i am running WIN7 it don't seem to be working.I tried many ways.

Removing AVG anti virus as i thought i blocked the launchgtaiv.exe file,i tried many compatibility options from WIN 98 to 2000 to XP SP1/2 Vista SP1/2 etc. and more and more...i has even tried multiple fresh installation and restarts/shut down all...heck even i tired to install multiple cracks like the one within the dvd and other from net like razor crack etc... but neither ones seems to be working well nothing working for me...i even tried some regedit edits as follows on net,surfed through out the net for different other solutions..change folder names tried to add patches [but really i can't install patches they give me some error; i tried to install the latest one 1.0.7 or something]

I even tried to un install the RGSC many times and launch the game with only launch gta.exe file but still no hope as it keep saying RGSC is required to play the game....please help me fast as possible.

I WASTE 1 FULL DAY OF MY LIFE FOR IT!!

I bought it from a near by shop for 350 indian rupees so i assume it is an original copy...hey now the problem fixed i updated the RSGC, downloaded windows market place and make an account on RSGC then used launchgta.exe application to launch the game now it is running well, the problem was not even with the crack or game files or any thing.

But now the loading takes more time and game lags at bit...i used to play GTA IV at full speed on my WINXP few months before but now in WIN7 it lags a bit while driving and take more time to loading...is there a fix for it to improve the game play or something?

As per CAN YOU RUN IT site i has the recommended requirments for running GTA IV....

We need to know your full system specifications and the settings at which you're running the game.

you bought the game for just Rs.350 ??? When i went to the shop Crossword there GTA IV was Rs.499 and The Complete Edition was Rs.699. Oh and Windows 7 needs more specs than of XP to run. On my PC i have both Windows XP and Windows 7 and GTA IV and EFLC and some other games like Burnout Paradise also works perfectly on Windows XP with no lags but on Windows 7 it lags a bit. And what is ur PC specs ? My PC is 4 yrs old so now I play games on my new PS3
