Ok, so I have noticed since I installed GTA IV, updated it and modded it, the game crashes frequently..

The game always crashes randomly when Im playing it..Most recently it crashed when I was dropping off a criminal at the police station in the LCPD First Response mod.

Benchmade butterfly knife
Arrest Warrant 1.0.1 (which isnt working for some reason?)
LCPD First Response (latest version)
Chevy Camero (Replaces SuperGT)

In your haste to post, you must have missed the big, bold letters at the top of EVERY section that says "Modding questions belong in the Modding Forums"-where the underlined part is the link that takes you to the Modding Forums...This section is for Un-Modded games ONLY. More people know about modding in the Modding section. Please post in the right section next time.. Just a friendly heads up.

Edit: Didn't see that this was moved while I was typing that reply...sorry...But OP Please be more careful and use the correct section in the future, so mistakes like this DO NOT happen again. Thanks for your cooperation.

GTA IV PC crashes no matter what you do. Figure a way to get back to the same scenario you were in before quickly. Some suggestions:
- have a solid state drive
- remove the loading screens
- remove the DRM check
- use the trainer.ini to set up options/hotkeys for quick execution


I crash online in roleplay/mission servers all the time. Within 90 seconds I'm back in the game with the right model, vehicle, weapons and in the right location.

Let me save you alot of headache, trouble and irritation and help you get through the best of the best of the enjoyment of the RAGE engine, ENB, iCEnHANCER and all the mods you could want to work in two easy steps:

1. Ensure you have a disc copy of GTA IV, version 1.0 if possible. Or 1020,1030,1040.
2. Ensure you only patch to 1040 at the highest.

If you don't believe me, check my post history. 1070 cannot be modded properly. There's no point. I've done. Had nothing but troubles with it for MONTHS.

1070 supports the most mods; are you sure you're looking properly?

1040 is better for ENB, that's about it.
