Something which would really add to the experience of Grand Theft Auto : V would be First Person view, Grand Theft Auto III had one, but it was so basic. What I am talking about is something like in First Person Shooters, Call of Duty, Battlefield, Elder Scrolls, Minecraft, that sort of first person view, but I guess it could mean that Rockstar would have to put extra work on small details on weapons and such, but it could really add to the immersion of this game.
Every GTA had a first person view in vehicles, but the camera was always located on the front of the vehicles or on the windshield, but it'd be great if in GTA : V it would be in the seat of the car, showing the hands of your player holding the steering wheel, you catch my drift.
And another thing that I would love to see to return, is classic View, the Top Down view from GTA I and GTA II, which was also in GTA III, where you had a top down perspective. It would be a really nice feature to have.
Thoughts?
EDIT : I didn't mean having FPS view exclusively and remove 3rd person view like some people here thought I did, and also, Akavari has got it perfect.

Can't we have both? Why do you guys have to attack each other...
I want a first person view option, at least a dashboard view for the cars. Being in first person really makes you feel smaller compared to the environment, and you pick up on the little details that you wouldn't pay much mind to in third person. There's more of an advantage to using a third person camera angle but first person really makes the world more alive.
Watch this and see if you're not convinced.

i really want the FPS view while driving, it adds a great deal to the game IMO. there's just something about FPS view in cars that make me like it so much...
I seriously wish all you FPS fan boys would f*ck off.
I am not an FPS fanboy, who told you I was an FPS fanboy? It's just a view option I would love to see in GTA, which you won't be forced to use, it's something that can be changed on the click of a button, a view mixed in with the other views, such as cinematic camera, long range view, close up view etc.
@the one who talked about the birds eye view, yeah, I suggested that too in the OP, Top down classic view
I'm sure R* has considered first person view in the past. They probably thought third person is what the style of GTA games are and didn't want to change that, even by just adding FP as an option. I wouldn't mind it, variety is the spice of GTA life.

I want FPS as an option too, and I also like the idea of having the classic cam like in GTA I, II and III, for the nostalgia. I don't know why some people start bashing when someone talks about FPS as an option. Optional means that you wont be forced to do so.

F*ck you and die.
Just because he wants a first-person view as an option does not make him a "FPS Fanboy". Some people would like to see the great world Rockstar creates through the protagonist's eyes. You can observe every detail and immerse yourself into it.
Also, it would just be an option. It would not be forced, and by default the camera would be set in third-person like always.

Exactly, it gives more variety and choice, could attract more people aswell as I know some that don't like 3rd person video games.

U mad bruh??
You might want to lay off 4chan...
ON-TOPIC: Both ideas would be good. A top-down perspective would give the player a "classic" feel if they couldn't play the earlier games, and the FPS would give more immersion and detail.

I seriously hope you get banned. You are not only childish but you are also too dumb to roam on these fora. Also your post doesn't make any sense and everyone is better off with you gone.
On topic, these two views would be awesome as options. I played GTAIII many times with the top down/birds eye view and it was too bad that the following III era games and GTA IV didn't have it. First person view could be exciting too if you want something different so now and then.

Second person view kill-cam! When you execute a cool finishing move, like tossing a beaker of flammable acid in some thug's face, and shooting it just before impact, spraying flaming death, I want to witness it from HIS point-of-view!
