Ok, I'm reinstalling my GTA IV so it's a fresh start with guidance on what to install. Basically I had the Simple Trainer and Traffic fix working on my EFLC (patch 1.2), everything was perfect and it worked.... However on GTA IV it would crash when the game is loading wierd :\ I was on the latest patch 1.7 :\ It seemed it didn't like sound.dll, it just never loaded the .asi mods which was a pain since I preferred GTA IV over EFLC... Any help with this? Why it was crashing an not on EFLC... Any specific patches I need to have? Thanks. I was trying to use these mods - http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=393676and "Traffic Load"... I had scripthook v0.5.1 installed and xlive.dll (or xliveless) as well... Is scripthook an asi loader? was that what I was missing from GTA IV directory? I don't understand how it could work on EFLC but not on GTA IV. BTW Adding new cars and modding Cars is FINE.

| QUOTE (sjaak327 @ Tuesday, May 15 2012, 18:20) | | Use isolation, so for instance, try one mod at a time to see if it will load, try snt, if that doesn't load on it's own, also make sure you have just one asi loader. | What's SNT? Was scripthook a asi loader?

oh no worries starfish, mods here are kinda retarded because honestly i have answered this ? millions of times for people,
You need an asi loader... dsound.dll in the GTAIV root directory (where GTAIV.exe is) Then you need scripthook.dll 0.5.1.0 install to same directory
then for running .net scripts... which are all the good ones btw, you need scripthookdotnet.asi 1.7.1.7 beta, install this to same place as well
then create a folder named "scripts" again in root directory
any script you download that is written in c++ and has the asi extention you place in root directory, all other scripts written in .net languages go in the scripts folder you made, if it doesnt work you f*cked up and should start over with a clean install
ok mods now go put this back in troubleshooting, if you need a new mod id be happy to do it because this place makes me sick with the level of stupidity you mods display... jesus f*ckin christ
and you wonder why all the real coders dont post here anymore, they are sick of reading... "how do i install scripts" threads
