Always been an Arnie fan, his movies are generally something of a guilty pleasure for me (with the exception of the genuinely good ones like Terminator, Predator etc) so I'll check this out at some point. I know it's early days and it can go south really quickly, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it's still rated 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Yeah, for someone asking about how an Arnold Schwarzenegger film is, you should know, it's not going to be story driven, it's not going to have the best acting, and most critics will hate it.

*Sigh*
Expendables 2 isn't an Arnie movie. No movie Arnie has ever been the lead role in has sucked as much as Expendables 2, at least every movie he's ever been a lead role in makes sense.

Terminator 3? Hercules?(his first movie) Jingle all the way? All of these movies sucked, and Arnie was the main cast member. And Expendables 2 was a cheese fest, it was awesome.

I didn't realize it was opposite day. Hercules in New York is a f*cking masterpiece. Granted, this isn't from that but it's on that same level of greatness:

Sigh back at you, dude. I was talking about The Last Stand. I haven't seen the Expendables 2.

Seen the trailer for it last night in the cinema. Looks ok. I understand where you are coming for OP. Being born in the 80's and growing up with 90's action movies, Arnies films are somewhat of a guilty pleasure for me too. And yes, Arbnies films are generally a little better than your usual action flicks. They seem like there's genuine love or effort gone in to them than say some Jason Statham cheese fest action film. Maybe it's just Arnie that gives this films a little more heart.
I'll watch the Last Stand and hopefully there will be a good story or a bit of a good story. It's a f*cking film after all and the moment Hollywood thought it could bring us a genuinely good film and skip on the good story in favour of action and effects is the day Hollywood died.

I saw it and loved it... great action and the plot wasnt bad either. If you're not an Arnold fan I can't see you liking it too much though. I'd give it an 8/10 and that's just because I f*cking love Arnold... he really makes the movie, especially because of how no one seems to care that a large Austrian man is a southern sheriff...
