Have you guys seen this one yet? Apparently it's 2 steps away from the actual new NSX coming out in around 2 years time.

Small details: Mid-engine 3.5 lt. V6 (400BHP) with petrol/electric 4WD powertrain.





It looks very nice, although you always have to wait and see what the actual model will look like (and what the pricerange will be)
I just think it's great they're rebuilding this iconic classic. I mean, who didn't just love this car in SA

Well it is quite old news already. The first similar concept was revealed already in 2011. It does looking stunning, no doubt about it. Hope it will be in the same class as its predecessor.

The hybrid thing has me worried. Porsche, Ferrari, and Mclaren got the whole KERS flywheel system which is honestly the future of high performance cars. Honda, on the other hand, still think hybrid means you need 1000 lbs. worth of battieries weighing a car down and generally making it sh*t to drive. .

2011? They've been previewing NSX replacements for the best part of a decade. I saw one at the NEC in about 2005. That wasn't a hybrid, though, but the aesthetics weren't that different. Pretty sure that was the one that evolved into the Acura JGTC GT500 racer.

I was talking about this specific body design. First one that looked like this was made in 2011, it appeared in Avengers too. Prototypes were being tested in 08 already, but i dont think they looked like this.

I'm all for a new NSX, but the aesthetics and the fact it's a hybrid is not in its ethos of the lean, balanced mini-supercar.

The new NSX looks just like your run-of-the-mill supercar now. There's nothing really exciting about it. That's what gave the original its' character was the unique body style. This just looks like a tarted up Acura.

Wow, i had no clue.


And apparently, as far as i could gather, the whole hybrid system is only in place to regulate all 4 wheels seperately, as a supporting power source which acts as advanced 4WD technology. Thought this was quite interesting. I mean, a 3.5 lt V6 with additional support from hybrids powering each wheel, that would make for some serious handling.

But i could be way off tbh, i'm not sure i was paying attention
