My *first* ever attempt and modifying something in GTA 1... and I've found it a lot harder than doing things in the III Era
I decided to try modifying a pre-existing car first, just to get used to doing it... I'm hoping that after a bit of practice I can start making cars from scratch.
So here's my first attempt - a Police Mundano:
It's very buggy at the moment and needs a few bits fixing (mainly to do with transparency), but I think I've got the animations & deltas pretty much spot on.

With a few tweaks and a bit of smoothing, it should be released soon... hopefully with a new siren as well
Cheers guys - I've never been able to model but I've always been good with graphics... so I think I've found my calling. Just a shame I'm 14 years late

i think the GTA1 mundano is based on the mk1 mondeo: (the shape and name certainly fit)
so i suppose it would be a police mondeo, maybe with a few edits to simplify it, and transform it into a mundano not sure really, just an idea
Yeah I think you're right - it is pretty much a dead ringer.
Update: Well I've been having fun with the audio (siren) and it's a royal pain in the arse. Eventually got the files into 8-bit format without any real quality loss...
Also fixed a few errors. It's *nearly* there
