in the mission freefall i can't get the dodo to the corona above the shamal
do you have any suggestions?

@topic creator. What seems to be the problem. can you not keep up with the shamal or is it summat to do with the dodo flying everywhere but in a straight line. If it keeps doing this, try to compensate less on the banks or turns. Otherwise i recomend you pop over to www.gamesfaqs.com and look at the walkthoughs and guides there. They are all very helpfull.

Here's what I did:
As soon as I saw the jet, I turned around. That put me ahead of it. Then, I just let go of the throttle and waited for it to catch up with me. I was above it, so when it caught up to me, I just started going down until the corona was right in front of the dodo. I accelerated at that point. Voila!

It's really straight forward.


Fly the dodo to the plane, get to it's height (Blip should turn square on radar. Get a little above it's level and prepare to turn around. Infact, I think I'll make a guide for this soon.

This mission seems almost impossible. The Shamal is way too fast, the Dodo is almost uncontrolable and the corona is so ..... small.

Here's a thread called "How to do Freefall" from page 1 of the Cheats/Tricks forum.

Basically, just do a 180 turn when you see the jet coming, and you should be slightly in front of it.
Just concentrate on making the turn, ignore the jet until you're heading due south and then you can manoeuver left/right or up/down to meet it.

This mission kicked my butt too. What worked best for me was raising to an altitude of about half of the altitude gauge above the oncoming jet. So I was way above it. Then once the jet is passing by I did the 180 turn and went due south. Then I plenty of height to dive right behind the jet at a nice speed.

I know, I struggled too. It was after my 10th try that i realized You DIDN'T have to go through the corona--- I just turned around immediately and followed the plane, and the cutscene went. It drove me crazy. Water boy runs away

if you have the pc version, you can modify the handling file of the cars-planes..... to make the dodo fly faster. I did it, because i was tyred of doing and doing again the mission without succeding, and it worked. if you want I can send you my modified file, when you finish the mission, change it to the original
