The looks of GTA IV is pretty nice and playable but it's too strong said that it is realistic cause many of real life things are missing and I think if R* can make a game like this, with many interesting things going on then how come the small things like cats, dogs, police horses, couch, bicycles (already done in GTA SA) and some other things are missing? Do they think that it would take a lot of space on HDD or greater Video card? I think not cause it wouldn't change anything much. Will they go on and will think about these simple stuff that could make the game MORE realistic? I really hope that in the next episode of GTA it all will appear and we will be amazed by the greatness of Rockstar Games and the creators. So what do you all think about these missing things? are you happy with it like it is or you miss the dogs running around, the cops on horses (just for fun, maybe too much asked:D ), bicycles and other stuff?

But I think the little things increased in IV like glass shatering into little pieces in stead of big ones, and the other things.

| QUOTE (shaggedout @ Apr 23 2009, 14:48) | About the animals. There were dogs, cows and sheep in Carmageddon all those years ago. To be honest. I don't think realism should be that much of an issue. I much preferred the World of San Andreas. As good as IV is, I'd much prefer to see the return of the jet pack for one thing. Although they are both GTA games, they are also different at the same time. IV is grittier, SA has more humour. Not that there's no humour in IV... Again they're two different games I suppose. A jet pack just wouldn't work in IV. Indeed, it's not even needed. But then, that's just because the story didn't need it.
Someone hurry up and make a jet pack mod for IV please . | Find me a jetpack object and sure

Find me a jetpack object and sure | Just put a random box on his back and make flames come out of it. That should work. Also: No animals in GTA! I'd feel way too guilty if I kept on running over cats and dogs and hearing them scream every time . Children.. I dunno... would be a lot of critics against this I think. I wouldn't want it either.

Random box will not work :B. I wonder if there's a car muffler object, I could give him rocket boots.

Quote from IGN artical about GTA 3. Just some background, not saying that they are still following this rule, because as you can see they now used many other ideas that they pulled out GTA3. I don't think kids or animals are a good idea. | QUOTE | On September 11, the twin towers of the World Trade Center fell to terrorist attacks, choking Manhattan in dust and uncertainty. Rockstar's offices were within walking distance of Ground Zero.
Suddenly, there were lines they didn't feel like crossing anymore.
Sam Houser publicly announced GTA III's release would slip three weeks, then the whole team combed Liberty City -- their thinly veiled New York -- for inappropriate content. LCPD squad cars were repainted to look less like the NYPD. Aircraft-based missions, a GTA first, were curtailed. School kids and elderly pedestrians pushing walkers vanished off the sidewalks. Missions doled out by homeless anarchist Darkel got the chop; only his ice cream truck-bomb job survived, transferred to El Burro with the targets switched from cops to rival gangsters. |
