[jarjar]

Following the same idea as the PC Chats topic of the same name (to a degree). This topic will be home to random questions, artworks, GFX and what not that don't really warrant a new topic. Use it for general GFX discussion or to show off your work or to ask questions, it's up to you.

I flew the idea past anuj and he didn't have a problem with it, so lets see how it goes.

Yeah, probably not the best time to start one of these topics since the whole of GTAForums has gone quiet, but we'll see how it goes I guess.

What I was thinking about when I saw that bar was one of those road-workers lights thingies.
They're usually on the back of the last vehicle at road works to tell people a lane is closed (and to please not drive into them, cause that hurts a lot).

That's what I done now just after I left, I put a vote in for 'good' and I hope others will do so too. This was a really good idea and we should be thanking you for it because it keeps the forum tidy and it's easier to answer questions etc, rather than opening new topics and it just looks like a big cluster.

Thank you for the comments, no it wasn't painted. I have a tablet at home, but can't be motivated to really invest time in trying. Maybe because I can't draw that good, so I need to practice more often.
It's a photomanipulation. Only the monks were drawn in, but that is not a big deal. At first I wanted the colors to be like that, a contrasting warm and cold. But now I think it's too saturated. That's why I posted it here instead of my topic, I don't think it's finished, could need some more details and corrections.



The MI Star indeed does look good, for the AIDS symbol, could be better if it had any depth in it, now it looks a bit to plain imo.
Your loading bar looks good jarjar, thought I have to admit I find Guybrush_Threepwood's more original.



Did that for a friend's birthday, friend and me made a t-shirt. I create the front, he the back. That's the front of it.

Yes, I have to agree with you there. Although, to be honest, I wasn't looking for originality, I've just always wanted to make a loading bar.

I really like what Guybrush_Threepwood did, and it has given me some ideas too.

Nice work on that shirt Squiddy, I love it, looks really really good. The sharks eyes and mouth are funny, funny as in gives it some emotion. A meaning basically. Well done.

SAMPLING COLORS OUTSIDE OF PHOTOSHOP


Here's a very short tip that doesn't warrant a topic. I thought about making this after reading TOGA62's topic. There is a way in PS that enables you to sample any color outside of PS using the sample tool.

All you have to do is reduce the PS window until the color that you want to sample is visible behind it. Be it in the OS, browser or other apps. Now select the sample tool (eyedropper) and left click and hold the button anywhere within your canvas. With the left mouse button still held, drag the dropper outside of PS towards the color you want to sample. Notice how the foreground color box changes accordingly. Relaese the mouse button, maximize PS, save the color in the swatches palette and there you have it. You can refer to the image below to get a better idea.
