I've been playing Skyward Sword, and I think the one downfall of this franchise is the lack of voice acting, and the redundant dialog. They'll say, "Zelda is at the temple." Then say, "The temple is over there." Then say, "Be careful there are monsters in the temple." Then say, "You need to go over there to the temple with monsters to find Zelda." And then, "Are you sure you understand?" And finally, "Okay, then go to the temple with the monsters to find Zelda. Good Luck."

And it's like this with practically every little thing. They can't just cut the fat and say, "Go to the temple and find Zelda." It has to be the translation from Japanese. They say two words in Japanese, and it's like two sentences in English.

Yeah, I've always wanted there to be voice acting in a Zelda game, I think it would expand the story more, and give us more of a connection with Link and other characters. The thing about Nintendo is they like to play it safe though, which is why you never see big changes to a lot of their games.

I think they need to stop playing it safe and add something like this to Zelda. If done right, this could make Zelda a lot better in my opinion.

I am completely against Zelda having voice acting.

Zelda is a very charming series, and the lack of voice acting is one of its charms. It makes it almost feel like a children's adventure book reading the dialogue. I love it. It's Zelda's style. Let's keep it the way it is.

But voice acting aside, you have to admit that the dialog sucks. It's like reading a children's book written for mentally retarded children who need things explained to them several times in slightly different ways. And this was my opinion 20 years ago when I myself was a child playing A Link to the Past.

Yeah, but Fi in Skyward Sword is 100x worse though..... She's the only thing I didn't like about Skyward Sword, she was just so annoying lmao.

Minish Cap is by far my favourite Zelda game to date, mostly because it has the same quality story as most of the rest along with what I consider perfect graphics and game play for a handheld. I was so stoked when I saw it was for download on the 3DS ambassador program smile.gif.

I've never played Minish Cap, maybe I should try it out sometime.

I'm currently thinking about replaying a Zelda game, but I'm not sure which one, I think I'll replay SS, but I sorta wanna replay TP to..... maybe I should just replay both tounge.gif

Love Zelda:
Ocarina of time. Absolutly amazing
Majora's Mask. Absolutly amazing and bastard hard sequal (to get everything)
Windwaker. Loved it even though the cartoon graphics didn't appeal as much to me.
Twighlight Princess. Liked it but never loved it.
Skyword Sword. Liked it but it was too small and short.

I never played any top down ones as I never got into handhelds.
