I totally agree with you mate. Even the buffalo version in TBoGT is only marginally better. The only police vehicle I can be bothered to drive is the Police Stinger (for obvious reasons) or the police bike (also TBoGT).

It's quite odd because the standard police cruisers in all previous GTA games (even the top-down ones) were pretty powerful and handled really well.

I agree here. When I roleplay online with the police chases, I find it really hard to keep up in the police cruiser or police patrol. The police patriot is what I usually use online.

No, but I was just trying to differentiate between the Police Cruiser and the Police Patrol.

Does anyone know if the Police Patrol (not available in Multiplayer) is any better at handling than the Cruiser?

Having a shorter chassis, yes. But it's slower than the Cruiser, so that's why it's only good for patrolling, thus the name "Police Patrol".
